Jed 7,716
When has Gaga ever changed anything about her performances. She wants to be an actress now maybe if the role was pop star she would work hard but this all feels like an obligation now instead of a passion. If you wanna stan someone who cares about touring performances and changing it up stan Madonna or Beyoncé. Gaga is stuck in this dance pop format that I don’t think she wants to be in anymore
BossBiatch 20
I get why you're upset about the whole Enigma show, but think of it this way, they didn't fully construct the whole stage, there were a lot of props missing, they canceled one whole portion of the original show and I think she really didn't push herself vocally throughout the show ditching some high notes or vocal runs (maybe she's tired or sick) and that means we haven't seen the show in its entirety. (Although I'm completely thankful for the opportunity due to the fact that I will never see the show in Vegas.) And if we focus on the song list of Enigma, it's not an original album era, IT IS A TOP HITS COMPILATION. She's singing the same old songs in their original versions because it's a Vegas Residency when the majority of the audience are not diehard fans and there's no need for a musical cohesiveness because of it compilation nature. So that might make you think like she's not trying but it's the way it is.
Gimme More 35,369
from what I saw the show isn't for me and I say this as a casual fan the 'dancing' was interesting and those vocals after she said J-lo & Shakira better not lip sync hurt my ears SO much Hopefully for you fans she switches the show up for when it is extended for 2 more years

No hate at all for posting this thread. I think we are all entitled to our own opinions. My response to this part of the argument is that this is Gaga's art. We can't expect her to change a show because we don't like it. If Enigma is the show she feels represents her, that is her artistry and we have to respect that. It isn't about bops or trendy visuals, it is about expression.
Judas Society 3,584
Look, Gaga is like the 100001% artist I would follow until I die. I have never loved a pop star like I love her. Her music excites me and gives me all the feels that some of the older artists gave me and even they only do that with just a few songs. Most of Gaga's discography is sweet music to my ears, yes, even C2C. I would listen to her discography until I die and will continue to buy and look forward to her music until I die. She was bad ass during the Monster Ball, she was bad ass during BTW Ball. But she deteriorated from ARTPOP onwards in terms of live performance during tours. Even some of the live TV performances wasn't very impressive to me because it lacked concept which she was so good at during her earlier years. But her best performances now are those where she's sitting on the piano and singing, or standing in front of a mic stand and singing. I don't think I will focus on her tours anymore because the constant performances clearly takes its toll on her after awhile and I don't actually think she should be doing Vegas because having to play it every night is clearly not good for her. If she's touring, she could rest while traveling. Play a few stadiums or large venues with longer breaks in between. In fact, I am actually more excited with studio albums, new music that she will create and also what acting roles she will explore next. I will continue to watch her performances on TV to support her. But I may not go to Vegas even though that's where she makes her money or if I could afford it. Maybe only once if I have extra money. brucee 1,690
gaga was in my dreams tonight. I told her that most of the fans love her, and that i was praying every day she doesn't read all your mess and she said it's ok. That she knows it's just because this world precludes us to be kind and express our emotions in a rational way so we target the artists instead of the politics and the institution. She loves us still. hello hello baby.

ARTPOP lives were so good. She focused on the voice and delivered iconic stuff. Less cringe than some btw era live shows honestly. Much more honest in everything. A change, not a decline. hello hello baby.

I just hope LG6 proves us all wrong. Meanwhile J.Lo at age 50 has only improved her performance capacity ... I personally think this Gaga persona reached its peak after the Born This Way video. I think it’s time to retire it , and focus on the “Lady”. And by that I mean , that she doesn’t haven’t to be this high performance pop chanteuse she used to be. I think we’d get far more out of her if she focused on a sound and image that continued Cheek to Cheek, Joanne, ASIB. If she wants to continue to be Gaga then she needs to go back to the route of pop-performance art and go back to her routes that were in line with the work she and Dada created. I feel like the Gaga experiment has actually regressed rather than progressed.
