I don't want to get too in the weeds, but take Mayor Pete and Bernie. They have small skirmishes like this one, but neither of them would personally trash the other, at least not publicly. Compare that to Trump? Well, the difference is rather stark. Sure, there may be times when the Dems/left have their moments, but when the opposite side is nominating someone who downright brags about sexual assault, the "both sides" discussion seems pretty uneven. Yeah Trump is on a totally different level to the point that's it's constant face palmable but that's not really what I was talking about... I'm talking more the political culture and the supporters etc not so much specific individual politicians. In that sense that changes things... But when it comes to debates or social discussions etc.... If u have a debate about theory of economics for example the left can be just as dismissive as the right sorry but I see it all the time I'm not defending the right cuz they are terrible too. But given GGD is very left leaning by nature and always seem to be convinced the other side is the dismissive one I frankly ask ppl here to look at the mirror once in a while I haven't seen any evidence yet that any side (whether it be right, centre or left) is more open minded or reasonable than another Calling someone ignorant, getting agressive and dismissive... I see that from all sides equally as much But the thing is none of the sides ever admit they are guilty of it too (at least most ppl don't). It's always the opposing side that's the problem in everyone's minds... Most humans are just that biased by nature U can be right about something (arguably) and still be toxic and dismissive. Yes! I have my voter registration all ready to go and updated, just need to get a new license. I'm not due for one for another two years and I know there are loop holes around it (bringing in bills etc) but I don't even attempt to do that with voting polls, people can be terrible I like to walk in and know I have everything I need and there will be no hiccups.
