Hillary Clinton REFUSES to say she will endorse Bernie if he wins primary

If I was her I wouldn’t support someone who’s all talk and will be no action anyway tbh, he’s an unrealistic presidential candidate (as is anyone not Republican at this point in time with the current social and political climate). She has the right to endorse whomever she wants.

Also, her “nobody likes him” reference is clearly to POLITICIANS he would have to work with in the senate to pass bills and legislation with. Not about people in general, he has supporters obviously BUT he can’t just promise to eradicate student debt and tax Wall Street millionaires or billionaires more when the Republicans have a big control over the senate and they’re funded by the people or are related to, do dealings with or where themselves once; those people he isn’t for. So he would get no laws passed or anything out of pettiness.

All I'm saying is it's fascinating that these kinds of attacks came onto Bernie as soon as he was winning in the most respected poll in Iowa. First it was Warren, then it was the media and Biden and now Hillary has come out. 

 

All I see is establishment democrats doing everything they can to prevent Bernie from winning Iowa because they know if he wins Iowa, he's got New Hampshire and so on and so forth. And the only person right now who could stop him is Biden and if Biden is 0-3 before we get to South Carolina, his goodwill with older african american voters who prioritize electability over policy may not be enough to stop Bernie. 

 

That's all this is but I do think we need to hold people accountable for when they say things like this that are contrary to the narrative from the base: unite around the nominee.

Well, unfortunately for Hillary, the kind of person who cares about her endorsement is "Going to vote for the nominee, no matter who it is!" and the kind of person who hates Hillary Clinton is the kind of person whose vote decides an election in the midwest!

Imagine branding yourself as a feminist icon and then denigrating millions of women because they want Universal Health Care, Free Public College, and to save the world from Climate Change.

I also would not consider it an apples-to-apples comparison, given the extreme difference between a man like John McCain and a man like Donald Trump. For a moderate Democrat to vote for a moderate Republican is somewhat understandable (though I certainly wouldn't); for a far-left Democrat to vote for a racist, xenophobic, bigoted faux-publican populist is completely incomprehensible. 

Okay, keep telling yourself that. But fact of the matter is Bernie supporters overwhelmingly fell in line and voted for Hillary, which completely invalidates your elitist argument about "Bernie or bust" voters which is just a myth.

Btw, I too will vote for the Democrat even if it's Biden or Buttigieg because I'm not delusional or entitled enough to throw away my vote when a dangerous, deranged man like Trump can win again. 

And so too will nearly all Bernie supporters.

Right now is the primary though, not the general, so of course some of his supporters are going to get animated about him winning and becoming the candidate considering he will be the most trustworthy and reputable candidate of all the candidates. 

This doesn't mean they're going to only vote for the Dem if it's him though like what kind of mental gymnastics do you have to go through in order to dismiss the facts and reality about that

Look, she's not wrong. He's been a Senator for 30+ years with only 7 bills to his name. (Warren has been in the senate for 6 years, has 9 bills, Hillary was in Senate for 8 years, passed 16 bills) Sure, numbers of bills aren't everything but most of his weren't even substantive.

2  were for naming post offices. 1 was for a Vermont-related holiday. He also has a history of voting for war authorizations, especially ones that benefit military bases in Vermont (even though he voted against the war in Iraq.) And his campaign attacked Hillary for her support of the crime bill as First Lady, even though he actually voted for it. Also, the beginning of his career was heavily funded by the NRA...leading him to "conveniently" vote against the Brady Bill (gun control)....5 separate times. He wants to hold everyone else to a high standard that he can't seem to hold himself to.

Also, if you ask the people of Vermont, they're WAY less impressed by him than those who learned about him in 2016. They often wonder how he can be so passionate about Medicare for All and college debt yet he hasn't been able to bring any of those things to the state that he represents, and many residents didn't even know he cared about these issues. 

Finally, I like to listen to the good Gay Barney Frank on this. He's a true progressive and one of the architects of the strictest financial regulations Wall Street has ever seen, and is one of the reasons our country isn't more oligarchical than it already is. 

"Bernie Sanders has been in Congress for 25 years with little to show for it in terms of his accomplishments, and that’s because of the role he stakes out...Bernie alienates his natural allies,” Frank said. “His holier-than-thou attitude—saying in a very loud voice he is smarter than everyone else and purer than everyone else—really undercuts his effectiveness.”

He has no serious legislative accomplishments that make me think he can pass one of the most significant reforms in American history (M4A).

Bottom line, Bernie is a politician, just like any other, and folks who bend over backwards to give him the benefit of the doubt are being naive. Why shouldn't he be held to the same standard every other politician has? If a candidate running against him had his weaknesses, he and his supporters would never let them hear the end of it. Bernie shouldn't get a pass.

Let's face it, it's no love lost. Bernie's most toxic supporters spent an entire year attacking Hillary for everything they could think of and more. They bought into all of the right-wing talking points about her - lock, stock, and barrel. They even protested all day, every day at the convention, embarrassing our party for all to see at the start of the general election. And now they're doing the same thing again, this time to Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren, threatening to take their toys and go home if a less extremely liberal candidate gets the nomination. Their sophomoric, "my way or the highway" approach to politics has completely alienated them from the rest of the electorate and is exactly why people like Hillary Clinton are uninterested in playing nice with Bernie and the dude-bros that made 2016 such an absolute nightmare of an election cycle.

And by the way, she's right about Bernie: he has accomplished precious little over an entire lifetime of being in office.

The evidence as I’m sure multiple members already have pointed out to you shows that the “Bernie Bro’s’” defection to Jill Stein didn’t have a significant impact on her loss. More Bernie supporters voted for her than hers did for Obama in 2008. This post right here is an example of the excuses any diehard Clinton supporter will make for her loss in the election. Blaming the valid criticism of her candidacy as parroting right wing talking points...  I just don’t understand how you can blame “Bernie Bros” (I mean come up with a better nickname, this ain’t 2016 and if you go to his campaign meetups in Brooklyn, VERY inaccurate) for creating divisiveness when you bend over backwards here to justify the divisiveness from Clinton.
