So much for this "Bernie Bros will only vote for Bernie" argument that is completely fabricated and pushed by elitists like you. Bernie voters want nothing more than Trump out of office, and their numbers in support of Hillary in 2016 are proof enough that they will back a candidate other than him. Maybe you should go worry about the Buttigieg supporters, who are saying they're more likely to vote for Trump in 2020 if he isn't the nominee. Bernie supporters are the least likely to vote for Trump of all the candidate. So try again Miss Thang! We all know the truth that this "we need to be unified" is only used against progressives. The difference is negligible: 15% of Hillary supporters voted for McCain, while 12% of Bernie supporters voted for Trump. https://www.jacobinmag.com/2017/09/clinton-sanders-primary-new-book I also would not consider it an apples-to-apples comparison, given the extreme difference between a man like John McCain and a man like Donald Trump. For a moderate Democrat to vote for a moderate Republican is somewhat understandable (though I certainly wouldn't); for a far-left Democrat to vote for a racist, xenophobic, bigoted faux-publican populist is completely incomprehensible. It's his leadership team. It's his prominent supporters. It's his online Bernie Bros and their relentless attacks on lots of his competitors, particularly the women," she continued. "And I really hope people are paying attention to that because it should be worrisome that he has permitted this culture — not only permitted, [he] seems to really be very much supporting it." https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/479097-clinton-weighs-in-on-sanders-nobody-likes-him-nobody-wants-to-work-with-him Truer words were never spoken. I notice Bernie Bros like to call Elizabeth Warren a "lying wench" ( @Buddy) and Hillary Clinton a "petty snake" ( @Bio). Words we know are reserved for women. Will the Bernie Bros own up to the sexism that is so rampant in their community? Or will they tacitly endorse it through their refusal to disavow it? The reality is arguing about what she said about his supporters is extremely divisive and I disagree with her. If you want to have that discussion, we can start a different thread for that. THIS thread is addressing her comments about her unwillingness to endorse or campaign for Bernie if he gets the nomination which is something she has only said about Bernie. It reeks of bitterness and is contrary to the vote blue no matter who narrative that has been around since the last primary. Her behavior is hypocritical and I am so tired of people like her within the party demanding unity from progressives and then abusing them when they get their way. It is absurd. And it's why we need the 2 parties within the democratic party to separate. It's never going to be a happy marriage.
Bt1 5,213
Is she wrong with what she says in that tweet? No. Didnt read the rest, but let's understand something. Her endorsment wont mean the same thing as her endorsment for Obama in 2008 or the ( very hard to get) endorsment that Bernie did in 2016 for her. She should still do it if Bernie wins, but the value is really low if she does it or not.

Morphine Prince 109,645
Here comes the sexist card. To be clear: We don’t dislike Hillary because she’s a woman. Get over yourselves. Leave this failed candidate in 2016.

PoshLife 17,019
By the way, you will never hear me beg for Bernie Bro votes in the general election, nor will you find any example of me doing so in 2016: if you can live with your conscience voting for a third-party candidate (especially someone extremely questionable like Jill Stein), or voting for Trump given everything you know about him, then that's your right. Personally, I don't think it's even a question for me: I'll be over here voting for the Democrat. And yes, that includes if Bernie is the nominee, since I'm not a child who will throw a tantrum if I don't get what I want.

You may be the OP but you don't get to police what I do and don't say here - even though I imagine you'd love to erase any and all centrism from GGD so this can be yet another extension of your political bubble. Bernie's fanbase is extremely problematic, and the sexism is only a part of it. Here's another part: https://vtdigger.org/2019/09/20/black-leaders-chastise-sanders-backers-for-attacks-following-vote/ With that said, to bring it back to the apparently narrowly-defined OP - yes, I can understand why Hillary would hesitate to endorse someone who seems to breed this kind of toxicity. Petie Estie 5,704
I don't feel like this matters. Anyone who would listen to her was never going to support Bernie. Right? Idk. I'll support Bernie and I think he's a net positive for the country. But I can also see where she's coming from. Bernie ain't perfect. Sanju 1,504
If this was vice versa with Bernie the outrage that would cause..and the foam drooling out of your mouths would be crazy.
