ltlmnstr 2,771
Iran and North Korea are buddies All Iran had to do is tell North Korea it’s go time North Korea sends a missile America will have fatalities From there Trump will launch nuclear weapons hidden across America Elections have consequences. An insecure manbaby didn’t want to be held accountable with a trial. Impeachment will be buried because of this There’s already patriotism boost all over my city. This will help his polling soar. PoshLife 17,019
Trump and the GOP will try their best to start a war so they can benefit from the political "rally around the flag" effect going into the 2020 election. But it's hard for me to imagine this becoming a truly global conflict for two reasons: 1. America has, under Trump, alienated even our closest allies through trade disputes and what I'll call "NATO nickel-and-diming." Our allies, in Europe particularly, are extremely uninterested in getting involved with this and will do everything they can to ensure nothing happens that would trigger their mutual protection commitments. Earlier today the UK warned the US and Iran to cool it and we're going to see a lot more of that coming from Western Europe in the coming days. 2. Iran's allies, such as China, are not as interested in open confrontation as you might think. They are, obviously, extremely heavy-handed at home and in [what they consider to be] their own territories, but their economy and strength relies on their influence abroad and what they're able to sell around the world (goods in the US, infrastructure in Africa, etc.). They would much rather go up against us digitally (spying, hacking, etc) than go to physical war and risk isolating themselves from all of the countries they do business with. I'm less sure of this point than I am of the previous point, but President Xi is a fairly rational actor.

It's been centuries and they're still so behind as a civilization. America should mind their own business, every country should mind their own ****ing business even if Iran or Iraq or whoever else in the middle east attacks. Yeah that makes zero sense cause u gotta defend ur country but it's so annoying seriously. What...the Middle East is unstable because of the West and the West backing. Are you forgetting about what the West did in the Cold War? How UK, France and the US bombed the hell out of some parts of the region and supports coups? The Iranian Revolution, the US backing of Saudi Arabia & Israel? Hell the US years earlier, FUNDED that same organization that destroyed the twin towers on 9/11. And please do not give into the narrative that it's Islam and they need to democratize the religion. Islam has nothing to do with this. Islam for most of its history enjoyed more democratic rights than the West for CENTURIES. It's only until recently that the region supposedly """""became intolerant of other religions""""". The dynamics of world politics is much more than "it's their region and terrorism" because this same region has countries with higher GDP than where you live Qatar, UAE, etc. and has countries where millions of people have died Syria, Iraq, Yemen. NCgaga 4,345
We do realize that WWIII has almost begun like 10 times in the last 20 years right? The world’s superpowers all have to want to fight for there to be a true WWIII. None of the super powers are willing to fight each other in this day and time because none of them are in danger of the other one, and they each don’t want to risk their economy bad enough. Until then, The US will fight the Middle East, China will still be a deuche, Russia will still meddle in just about all of its neighbor’s business, and Europe will stay confused. Guest
1906 Iranians demanded Democracy and wanted to live in a secular free country, they asked America for help and became allies. 1953 then America and Great Britain helped to organize a coup against popularly elected prime minister Mohammad Mosaddegh because he objected to the British taking Iranian oil fields. The coup supported the Shah King Of Iran to built his own military, intelligence services, and a brutal repressive apparatus. The Shah denied human rights, tortured political prisoners, refused to allow democratic control, and was a puppet for the American government. 1979 Millions of Iranian had gone into the streets to peacefully protest against the Shahs human rights abuses. The revolution replaced the monarchy with an Islamic republic leader, Khomeini. America sent their general to help the Shah overthrow the revolution, the same way America tried to overthrow Mosaddegh a quarter century earlier. So in response, protesters attacked the US embassy and and took Americans hostage. 1980 America helped arm Saddam Hussein to start a brutal war with iran and he invaded Iran. So Iran started a nuclear program to counter what it saw as United States hostility. The United States saw this nuclear program as a threat to world peace. 2015 These tensions were eased with a nuclear deal 2018 America betrays Iran by withdrawing from the Iranian nuclear deal, and imposes a crippling economic sanction. 2 years later, America kills Iranian general Soleimani and labels him a terrorist. We'll get into a scrap or two until Trump is removed and our next president will immediately say "Aight, time to chill the hell out. That last guy was on bath salts, trust me, we want to fix this". At least I hope so anyway. There was really zero reason to leave the nuclear deal with Iran, it provided a bridge into global trade for them and security for the rest of us, but Trump's ego just sh*ts on everything. The guy ordered a potentially war causing strike with no congressional approval just to change the headlines from "impeachment" to "doomsday". May his ass still be grass come November.
