And you should be the last one to judge them for it since you punched a whole in a hospital wall and its still there I know that. I am not calling these ppl crazy I'm just saying I understand the side of the Government too in these situations. It's not easy at all either with the pressure of trying o deal with a lot of affected areas at once and ppl reacting this way only adds further pressure I'm not shrugging off their problems. Just pointing out it's not easy for the Government either and the media can unfairly make them seem like monsters in these times

Just pointing out it's not easy for the Government either and the media can unfairly make them seem like monsters in these times I'm not Australian, but even I can see how Morrison has reacted to these fires, and how unhelpful and just plain bad his responses are, he shows no sympathy for the victims of the fire, and hasn't been acting like a leader. He took a vacation to Hawaii during the bush fires, during the same week that two firefighters were killed, the Queensland and NSW premiers also went on vacation during the fires. You say it isn't easy for the government, maybe that's because they simply aren't doing their jobs? He's completely apathetic and a simply awful leader "through all the tears and all the lies, i'm gonna dance until i feel alright"

Are not all fire fighting resources being used or what's going on? I know when fires are massive in general having enough resources are always an issue it also isn't really a side point since the fires have been proven to be caused by climate change-related issues? LOVEDRUG 11,291
just read that a series of Australian fire officials requested a meeting with Morrison in April about the threat and he never responded, don't know how true this is but he really isn't looking good "through all the tears and all the lies, i'm gonna dance until i feel alright"

Are not all fire fighting resources being used or what's going on? I know when fires are massive in general having enough resources are always an issue he's just fumbling around during a time of crisis. he went on vacation, suggested people "watch the cricket", told people to "just stay calm", etc. volunteer firefighters are in high demand, aren't/weren't being payed and are putting their lives on the line (some have already died). i believe that we're now just waiting for the fires to subside as there's not much more that the firefighters can do that they aren't already doing. because it's somewhat a "waiting game" people have turned their attention to the PM who, as i said, has made no action or effort to change or help. yes, there's nothing that he can physically do (volunteering as a firie) but his incompetence towards the fires, climate change and even his actions before these fires started (waving off warnings and protesters) has been idiotic. people are mad about that clip because he went out to use poor, devastated people to fix his public image. when they unsurprisingly turned on the rich, privileged, unhelpful man he jumped in his car and left. He's obviously looking into the situation But ppl get desperate and understanding get agressive but when ur agressive like that, politicians are likely to take a step back From the looks of multiple videos it looks like ppl were giving him a hard time all day The fires are very severe and in a lot of places and help like the fire trucks they wanted more of have to be spread in multiple areas. The Government has its limits on what they can do all at once I think ppl are acting on emotion because of desperation but are not taking the Government's limitations on this I don't know of any government that has ever managed to instantly make everything ok when facing disasters How are you gonna defend a situation when you say you have no idea what’s going on? Donald trump tried to show up plenty of places as well during times of crises And gun violence. that doesn’t mean he actually wants to help politicians are Motivated by their own image so if these people who actually live there and actually know what they’re talking about are upset maybe it’s not your place to defend the government just because that’s the side you usually defend.. No ur absolutely right. I don't know enough details to judge the situation as a whole. But I was talking about whether he's been adequate overall or not. Or whether he's a good pm or not or whether ppl have the right to be upset or not I was pointing out that in general in situations like this ppl tend to be very emotional and agressive (it's natural) and the Government which already has a lot to deal with can be put under even more pressure in these situations. I'm just saying I understand the government's pressure too and being a human being as well how he could react not proper I was merely trying to see a bit of the other side of the coin too. I wasn't saying he was a good PM or handling everything perfectly. That's not what I was getting at I find ppl on this site far too often assume that I'm defending the other side when I try to also consider the other view point. I always do that with situations it doesn't mean that overall that I'm taking the Government's side tho

audrey horne 1,180
I'm quite ignorant of the politics in AUS, but coming from an authority figure, that kind of explicit mockery of these residents, added to paternalist behavior and rude gestures, really show how much this PM is a garbage human. Also, who are they trying to fool with yet another PR stunt, instead of taking actual responsabilities. Good luck with the fire damages, hope you'll still have some koalas.
