REALITY 80,161
This is incredibly sad and frustrating to watch. The fact that he just ignores and walks away from not only the woman refusing to shake his hand, but also the people telling him to help them is deplorable. He's obviously looking into the situation But ppl get desperate and understanding get agressive but when ur agressive like that, politicians are likely to take a step back From the looks of multiple videos it looks like ppl were giving him a hard time all day The fires are very severe and in a lot of places and help like the fire trucks they wanted more of have to be spread in multiple areas. The Government has its limits on what they can do all at once I think ppl are acting on emotion because of desperation but are not taking the Government's limitations on this I don't know of any government that has ever managed to instantly make everything ok when facing disasters

And now this is clearly just PR without him actually caring. Besides his government is racist af and just following corporate interests. I'm from Europe though, so I don't have all the details. Agreed it's despicable when politicians deny climate change but that's kind of a side point These ppl are complaining he's not doing enough to help. That's a seperate immediate issue to him denying climate change in general As for the help what more can he do at the moment he isn't doing? Are not all fire fighting resources being used or what's going on? I know when fires are massive in general having enough resources are always an issue

He certainly could've/should've handled this in a more professional way instead of just ignoring them and walking away. 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔢 𝔞𝔴𝔞𝔶 𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔪𝔞𝔰𝔨 𝔞𝔫𝔡...𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔣𝔞𝔠𝔢 𝔴𝔞𝔰 𝔪𝔦𝔫𝔢. U can't loose composure like that But I also think there's two sides of the coin in these situations and a large segment of the population also loves making life difficult for the government too I see it all the time even here in Canada. Ppl want things that go beyond what the government can actually do and then they make them look so evil Of course this situation is unique and ppl are going thru a lot and it's easy to get emotional (imagine loosing ng ur house). But I know in Japan when they had the big disaster people were way more calm and civilized so I know it is possible for ppl to control themselves

It's difficult to try and be objective about these sorts of things. I'm not familiar with Australian government or its politicians, but it seems to me that maybe he isn't a popular politician to begin with already? Trying to see both sides? I'm not taking anyone's side here or glorifying the government. I'm saying I can see their perspective too because it can be very difficult for the government to do everything they have to do in tough situations and ppl can make it even harder for them that's literally all in saying Omg ppl here really can't handle a different view on anything Ppl like u get on my nerves too I bother u so much don't reply. U have no right to tell someone to be quiet cuz u don't agree. Some of u here think only ppl who agree with u have a right to free speech Unbelievable
