The Bloomberg article states an OPINION piece by a legal scholar but further down another legal scholar disagrees because the Constitution gives the House the SOLE power to impeach. “The House of Representatives...shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.“ ARTICLE I, SECTION 2, CLAUSE 5 What you were arguing was that the impeachment “wasn’t valid” and you were stating the Senate had to “impeach” him, which is inaccurate. You seemed to be stating a common misconception that “Impeachment = Removal” which is not the case. Trump was impeached by the House. Now they must send the articles to the Senate for a trial. He's impeached whether you want it or not. It took me a whole 5 seconds to find this information. Former First Lady of the United States.
