They are Trojan horses.

It reminds me of Arlen Specter, a senator from Pennsylvania who kept switching parties. He lost a primary eventually. Cuz, like... why would you vote for someone to represent your party who doesn't really agree with the party I mean... Some people can be very borderline... The most Right Winged Democrats and the most Left Winged Republicans can overlap and it doesn't actually make a difference which party they are in cuz they are gonna be centrists regardless Here in Canada we have 3 major parties which I'll put in bold: People's Party Of Canada: Far-Right Conservatives: Centre-Right Liberals: Centre NDP: Centre-Left Green Party: Far-Left The 3 in the middle are the biggest parties and sometimes they overlap with the party next to them all the time. Even the party as a whole does nevermind the individual members furthest on the edge of their party ideals This election for example, like 80% of the budget platforms and ideas between the Conservatives and Trudeau's Liberals were basically the same tbh And the NDP and Greens were also super simmilar (only the green party would go further with some ideas but same principals)

Decades of hijacking by more and more of right wing Corporatism. I wouldn't say that. At the end of the day the vast majority of them have voted for the party's keystone legislation, from a $15 minimum wage to gun violence prevention legislation, keeping America in the Paris Agreement, the Equality Act, banning offshore drilling, impeaching Donald Trump... that's just the stuff I can remember. The Democrats usually only get like 8-10 people defecting on their really big bills.
