This is what BJ has done in just 5 days of his Prime Ministerial position...

So for those saying "aw lets trust Boris Johnson because he cares about the NHS"  well that aged like milk. The next 5 years will be... something

It’s going to be hell and that’s on period.

I get most people voted for brexit. Most people. Not all. But most people

The narrative of brexit has been so extreme, it’s like everyone is expecting us to come out the EU just like that? It was sold as this great idea that we as a country would be better off outside then EU and we’d just come out and get more money for our NHS, more money for jobs etc

But it’s really not like that at all. You have so many obstacles you have to go through to even come to an agreement with the EU to come out

okay boris has a majority, the conservatives have a lot of power in regards to parliament. But people need to remember we still have the EU board to convince yet, they can easily reject boris’ deal within a heartbeat. We actually won’t be leaving the EU On the 31st January, we will be confirming an agreement with the EU. Following that we have to agree a divorce deal and go through a transition period which could be up to 3 months to 3 years

But no deal is very much on the table, I don’t care what people say it is. That would be catastrophic for us. It’s like walking out on your family and relocating over seas. It would rip the country apart in terms of wealth and jobs albeit in the short run. But no deal is still a possibility

call me a snowflake but I feel the majority of the UK have been fickle with their voting. We get tired of waiting and fed up of bullshit so we’ve been promised a quick fix to brexit, that’s it, we’re gone at the end of January 2020, so we’ve gone for it thinking it’s the best thing for us... but it’s not

Im calling it now, there will be delays to brexit next year, we will either have an extension or we will just remove ourselves and go with no deal, people will then realise that it’s damaging and everyone will rant on Twitter and Facebook about how all politicians lie when they voted for this.

Apart from the millions who voted against boris, I have no sympathy for anyone in regards to what’s to come, we’ve hastily voted in a far right idiot who believes people of colour should be called stereotypical names, as well as gay men. Who thinks children raised by a single parent are stupid, delinquent and tearaways and all because were sick of brexit

He is already backtracking in everything he’s said, he’s a liar. He lied to the queen weeks being in power, openly uses homophobic and racist rhetoric and we as a country have rewarded him? If Theresa May lied to the queen, came outside number ten and said “right you bunch of dirty f@ggots” she would of been LYNCHED. The tories would of booted her out and she would never show her face again. But with boris we just forgive him because he’s “quirky” I’m disappointed to live in the UK right now, boris has gone from being someone who could of been prime minister for 10 weeks... to now someone who could be prime minister for 10 years.

I couldn't agree more :bradley:

Anyone who thinks he can get a trade deal in less than a year is delusional. He can push through his withdrawal agreement on Friday but to get an actual trade deal done and dusted by this time next year is ludicrous. He has already ruled out an extension to the withdrawal period to get a trade deal, meaning "No Deal" is back on the table :bradley:  And the thing is, because he has such a large majority, no one can stop him from doing what he wants.

I honestly think he will make the UK leave without a deal :rip:   2020 is going to be a very interesting year for politics.  The UK Union is sooooooo close to breaking up, he has already backtracked on his policies, he is only PM to have a beaming CV and say "I did that" rather than the benefit of helping others, then he has Brexit... which is all fine saying "we are leaving at the end of January" but he knows that it won't just go away like he promised so many people.

My predictions for next year is; independence referendum in Scotland, a debate on Irish reunification with possible referendum then, Boris Johnson forcing through "No Deal" to "get brexit done" meaning no saftey net interms of trade for England and Wales, the economy of England + Wales will hit rock bottom, and y'all be on WTO. Hate crimes will increase, minority groups will face more discrimination, the NHS will be under threat... I don't have much faith in the UK or the current UK government. By the year 2025, we could be looking at an independent Scotland, a reunited Ireland and England + Wales being in a Union together with sky high levels of poverty and homelessness, mass unemployment and a fully privatized NHS (possibly in Donald Trump's hands). I fear the worst for England and Wales, I really do. And I think Boris Johnson and his "style" of politics will drive Scotland to be independent and N.Ireland to question their place in the Union.

This whole thing is a mess and it is not going to go away anytime soon :bradley:

The UK really got the equivalent of Trump. Ugly white musty-looking loud men. I am so sorry for y'all. You genuinely do not understand how much we dislike our own president. WE because this man has the lowest approval ratings for any president and we're looking to impeach this man. I feel so bad for PoC and their communities in the UK. Hate crimes really do surge with voting conservatives in (literally what happened in the US). I really do hope with 2020 we get Bernie or Warren and all of this for-profit healthcare nonsense gets thrown out the window. My health and the health of my loved ones should not be the government's economic playground. I. Am. Tired. and I know y'all are too :(

If Brexit happens won't Scotland and Northern Ireland just also dip from the UK? I do not understand why anyone actually wants this.

Well it will more than strengthen the case for Scotland to be an independent country, which is great news for Scotland, but bad news for England. And it will definitely start the same conversation in Ireland, wether their best interests are served as part of a sinking union, or in a reunited Ireland.

If thats what you meant    Brexit will be bad for the whole of the UK and will make Scotland and N.Ireland dip in all areas, even through we never voted for Brexit

I remember watching something regarding Northern Ireland leaving due to the immigration clause of the EU or something. I'll pull up the video.
