I mean no disrespect by it! I just happen to like meat! It’s something I enjoy eating and no I’m not shoving 3 hamburgers in my face a day. I eat a lot of veggies and I’d say I eat equal amounts of both. I actually eat pretty healthy and limit dairy. I dislike vegans who rub their veganism in your face. Im perfectly healthy with the diet I eat and don’t need anyone telling me what to put in my mouth. As far as the cupcake. It was an honest mistake that we didn’t realize until after the fact. JustinTrudeau 2,419
I want to point out (as some have in this forum) that not every meat-eater eats meat 3 meals a day, every day. I eat meat less than every other week for lunch or dinner (cause I meal prep with one lunch type a week). Most of the time, I use tofu or chickpeas for protein. I call myself a lazy vegetarian. Even when I go out to restaurants, I don't order meat each time. When I was vegan a few years ago, the hardest part was giving up milk. And it's not necessarily the milk carton. But the baked goods, cheese, and sweets were not options for me as part of the diet. Yes, I could be happier to be eating "healthier" (e.g. switch chocolate with fruits), but honestly, it stressed me out more to plan for it and it wasn't a good idea to try a new diet/lifestyle when your relationship with your body is fcked up. I work with my dietician to eat better now, and I find that I'm less likely to eat meat or cheese when I don't exclude them from my diet. I think that's the important thing. Find something you're likely to stick with, no matter what diet. If I come across vegan or veggie recipes, I'm for it! Especially when I want pancakes but I don't have milk or eggs in the house! I fell down the stairs once as an actor.

I just wanted to point out the fact by your first post that a human body doesn’t need meat everyday. If you say you eat equal qmount of both does that mean a day meat, a day veggie? Cause in this case you should edit your first post cause it’s missleading. And yes I get the in your face part. That annoys me as much as you. But there is also this in your face part from meat eaters like in your first post. Mistake or not. Laughing afterwords doesn’t make it better. And don’t tell me that the vegan person is laughing too, cause a vegan person would accept excuses if it was a mistake but definitly not laugh about it. I believe that you didn’t want to sound mean or that you had something bad in mind, I do, but maybe, think about it twice the next time... Siena 6,412
I was vegetarian for a year before I went back so this doesn't surprise me. But I have a lot of friends who have been vegetarian for over 5 years so hopefully they keep going

The commenter didn't say laughing made the situation any better. And not all Vegans act the same you know. There are more understanding people in the world who do laugh off their situations. All I’m saying is I like meat! There are only so many chickpeas a person can eat. I also tend to avoid soy based items as they really don’t do good things for my hormones. I also bake a lot of vegan and gluten free items. I appreciate the chemistry behind all that! It’s a very different way of baking and I actually enjoy a lot of it more than the non vegan items. Can we all agree that vegans and meat eaters are always going to be butting heads over which was is a better way to live! It’s never going to fully be one way or the other. At least not any time soon! Can we agree to disagree? And I commend people that can live that lifestyle, it’s not for me! Like I said, we had a good laugh! She doesn’t take it too seriously that she would get that offended by it! But to be honest the fact that she’s had some of our vegan baked goods and still wasn’t able to tell she ate the real thing, tells me we’re doing something right! pedrohemg 7,802
As they should. We need meat or at least animal products like milk. I'm always shook when I see how people were before they went vegan and how they're now. They don't look healthy at all.

Renie 7,909
I’d also like to bring up the blood type diet. If it’s not something you’ve heard of, I’d recommended looking into it, it’s really interesting. But certain blood types do need more protein in the form of meat. Some people’s bodies just do better with it. And some people’s bodies do better with all veggies. It’s really all up to the individual!
