Amy Klobuchar gained the most tonight. She showed her passion and ability to bring it to Trump. I think she's the dark horse in this race. Good night for Buttigieg as well. The losers were Castro, O'Rourke, Warren, and absolutely Tulsi. I think Biden stumbled, but others are disagreeing so maybe they saw something I didn't.

Yup. I never thought he did awful in the other debates but this one made him come off as mean. Different people see it differently though.

They haven’t. Biden was statistically tied for third, which is his place in the polls right now.

Russian interference that has been validated by our intelligence agencies and a bipartisan report from the Senate Intelligence Committee  less than two weeks ago.

I’ll talk about Russia when you talk about Hillary’s monetary takeover of the DNC & the fact that the media propped up Clinton with superdelegates & that the primary was rigged. I also love how 2016 always keeps coming back up. 

 

OT: my thoughts: 

Warren did a **** job defending Medicare for All as she always has. Because she doesn’t really support it but doesn’t have a better plan. She sometimes defended well and other times did not. It’s not going to hurt her in the polls though. She did what she needed to do but she needs to figure out what her rhetoric is with regard to foreign policy and healthcare. 

 

Bernie did good when spoken too. The endorsements and the good showing will keep things going forward.

 

Pete was trying to get more Biden and Warren votes so he *might* get delegates in Iowa and slingshot as a top tier candidate. 

 

Biden failed as usual. Too bad people supporting him were asleep before the debate started. His support is going to go down slowly like molasses. 

 

Amy tried her best but despite having so much time each debate, she’s not getting traction. 

 

Yang was amazing when he was given a chance to talk mostly. 

 

Tulsi was brave to call out the debate moderators. 

 

Castro is interesting even if he has no chance. 

 

@Whispering there is no reason at all for Beto or Amy to get more time than Bernie. Based on polling, donors, likelihood of winning, whatever metric you want to choose.

If Bernie had answered a little longer on a couple of questions, or if he had more people coming for him, he would have been ten seconds more. Beto had a long argument tonight, plus he gives long answers. Everything isn’t completely controllable on a debate stage, especially with twelve people on stage.

What these numbers show is that one per-centers did NOT get “two to three times more speaking time than Bernie”. That statement was false.

At no point in tonights debate did Buttigieg elicited boos from the audience, and condemnation from his fellow candidates, for not-so-subtlety implying, repeatedly, that Biden wasn't mentally sound. "Did you forget, did you just forget what you said three minutes ago, did you just forget!?"

Attempting to draw a parallel between Castro's personal attack in the previous debate, and Buttigieg or Klobuchar's aggressive tone tonight, is just dishonest, and reeks of forcing facts to fit an agenda.

Pete won the night for me. Hands down. Articulate and thoughtful as always, contrasted himself clearly, showed his strong foreign policy chops, went on offense and built up his electability argument. Pretty certain he's going to rise from this point onwards and break into top 3 nationally in the next 1-2 months. Slow and steady, but gaining. He's already polling 4th in both Iowa and NH, with double digits in Iowa.

Even his website crashed momentarily when he mentioned it in the closing remarks. Clearly there was a traffic spike.

Pete is fading because he has no signature policies. He simply speaks (notably, very eloquently and intelligently) about platitudes that align him with Joe Biden and Clinton era centrism. The only reason he is polling slightly better than 5% the past few weeks is because he is quickly burning through his tens of millions of corporate campaign contributions.
