Smother Em Eh 7,131
Finally someone who appreciates Dope. I don’t understand the hate it gets. It’s a beautiful song. It’s lyrics are extremely poetic and that of a true writer and it’s sonically beautiful! I also don’t mind her “Dope“ vocals. It suits the song and isn’t even that bad. It’s a raw and distinct tone of expression put into a heartfelt song. Get Applause & G.U.Y to 1B views!
imnotyourbabe10 6,101
Dope and/or I Wanna Be With You is that ballad of the ARTPOP era
giskardsb 12,565
its a great song, and the production and engineering is so good that on a good sound system it literally sounds like Gaga is sitting in the room at a piano singing to you.

Davian 44,859
It’s not my favorite from her, but I love it so much I’m happy to know it’s someone’s favorite because it gets way too much hate! 6 hours ago, Autumn said: (although my favourites are probably the most controversial ever) Dare to tell your top 5/10 I’m curious! steven 5,963
I never ever listen to Dope, but I can understand why some people love it. It's just too intense for me.
Guest
We all know deep down in all of our hearts that Marry The Night is Gaga's best pop song. Her best ballad song might be Shallow or Joanne though
Stephen 30,423
YES YES YES It's in my top 10 for sure! For me it's her most heartbreaking song.
Siena 6,268
I love Dope but I haven’t listened to it in years! It’s just kinda a downer and makes me feel really heavy and depressed
ryansamonster 1,724
Her raw and emotional vocals really add power to the song. You can almost feel what she was going through at the time. To me it fits perfectly on ARTPOP, right after MJH and before Gypsy. Not her best song, in my opinion, but it does get me in my feels. I Wanna Be With You was just too cheesy. Yeah I said it. I appreciate her trying to dedicate a song to the Monsters but the whole “We’re young, let’s run, let’s have fun, I don’t want to grow up” is just not it for me. AJRocketMan 2,684
I love this song so much and I truly believe it is her best. It is also one of my favorites. I feel it’s far more authentic than Speechless, You and I, and her other ballads. She did struggle with drug addiction after all. I Wanna Be With You doesn’t come close to this level of mastery or emotion, or poeticism. She really needed a grim ballad at that point in her career instead of just a sappy love song. With Dope, I feel Gaga finally had her “Live to Tell”. I also think this was when she truly made her own unique ballad without having to copy Elton John or Queen’s sound. I know its emotional for her and she was drunk , but the live versions of Dope are far more superior. The performances at Roseland and Alan Carr (one of my favorite performances of all time) really should've been close to the version we got. It's a great song, but I prefer the live version. I’m pretty sure she was crying, not drunk.
