OMonster 14,581
Battle For Your Life doesn't seem to explicitly, or exclusively, fit into 'Haus Laboratories'. It isn't the company's slogan (which is, 'Our Haus. Your Rules'), and it doesn't refer to any of the products on offer. This, added to the speculated 'lip-sync' clip, has led a lot of us to believe that BFYL is LG6 related - either the album's title or - more likely - the album's lead. We know that Gaga has been working (to varying degrees) on LG6 for a long, long time - certainly as early as the beginning of 2017. I think it is worth noting that LG6 will be Gaga's *first* post-Trump, solo release... and we know how passionate she feels about his administration, and the general state of global politics. I think BFYL could be Gaga's way of responding to the state of the world and it's politics. Adding to LG6's relationship to politics, and in turn, it's relevance to BFYL - Gaga, over the past couple of years, has worn *a lot* of military-inspired outfits... a lot of leather, a lot of military hats, and a battle-like aesthetic - there's a definite theme. Take a look: Spoiler And even as recently as last month, Gaga wore (quite randomly) a military-esque hat on Pride Day: Again, this ties together the political message (LGBT rights, in this instance) with the notion of fighting for your freedom... and battling for your life. I don't know, maybe this is a reach (which, invariably, I know y'all will think) - but there *could* be something in this. The fact Gaga talks about Trump and politics very, very frequently (on a nightly basis even, at Enigma), I think makes political undertones inevitable on LG6. Add that to the rumoured BFYL title, the military fashion.. and, at the very least, there *is* a pattern. subtext / fantasy
Jadeykins 1,418
I definitely don't think it's a reach saying she's going to get political, she's done the "peace and love" thing before but i can see her getting a lot deeper with the idea....you could actually work that concept into the chaos theory if you think about it....like trump becoming president and the subsequent rise in hate crime for example and gaga did used to say the names of song titles all the time randomly so maybe i love theorizing so i don't care if it's unlikely it's fun to talk about

JohnnyVersace 8,809
I totally agree. BFYL always seemed a little....forced...in the campaign. Like it didn’t really make much sense. Also, don’t forget that when she released BTW, she said that after years of serving sweet, pop hits, she was ready to serve something more bitter and politically-charged. Seems similar. Illuminati 15,823
I think it's a play on over the top drag phrases as haus labs seems to be very inspired by drag culture in general. Doubt it's anything more than that.

GhettoFabulous 18,501
Keep saying it...I doubt it tbh I feel like that’s just the haus labs slogan or whatever like the #bebrave born this way foundation thing
crisTEAne 21,059
nice analysis, but i'm rather inclined to disagree. her scheisse performances and her new york appearances have always centered on leather/military themes. schiesse is a feminist anthem; new york is her hometown that brings out the rebel inside her, only seeing the glittery reflections on the concrete floor, even if it's dirty. (also, she literally had to battle for her life during that fatal born this way ball night.) if you hurt taylor swift, i'll hurt you back
