Miley's Happy Hippie Foundation feeds and houses thousands of homeless youth every year. So yes, another artist is doing something as important - or arguably more important - than teaching high schoolers about mental health.

But I agree with everything else you said.

I get where the OP is coming from, but I agree with @Layton. Not having thicker people in the one ad we've seen doesn't mean anything.

My point wasn’t that Gaga is the only one doing that kind of work, it’s more so that people now want to drag her for one promo clip whilst knowing she is NOT that kinda ignorant artist

It’s a cosmetics ad. If it were a clothing ad for instance that would be another story. It’s clear they chose models with unique features and different skin tones to showcase the makeup and they just so happened to be thin as well.

If anyone really thinks Lady Gaga deliberately chose not to have plus sized models in her ad... :oprah:

It’s about fashion! and all these models were selected because they battle in their skin in so many ways to be sexy, brave , or do what it takes to feel beautiful

I don’t think going to mc donalds to find a fat person to be in the video is going to convince people to love yourself this is about doing whatever it takes to be beautiful in your skin, and clearly these Models have done it. They put effort into their diet, skin routine, and lifestyle to be themselves.

Thats my opinion.

So I will say I noticed this.   I liked that she has a lot of diversity in her ads, but all the people in the ad are super skinny. I'm not offended by it, just wish there was more of a variety of body types.  But this is their first advertisement, there could be more later on.

Harris Walz 2024

The ad just tries too hard to be hip. It's like a caricature, an SNL parady. Kinda like Sprockets for thin cool kids.

Who cares? This is not clothes. You can't tailor makeup for your weight. Just dump the makeup on your face and stop whining.

If you read my post again, you’ll see that at no point did I say what she does is Rare, I’m simply pointing out that these people wanna drag her incessantly yet are forgetting she promotes equality and inclusion.
