Baby, I said they both were offensive. I never argue against that. When I gave a definition and reasoning why  prejudice and racism are not the same thing, you said I was distinguishing between evils. They are not same and you can incorrectly label things racism when they’re not. When I said levels of importance, I meant by weight that these words carry. Racism is heavier than racial prejudice due, that’s not even debatable. I never converge the two words. Maybe I should’ve rephrased my last statement that racial prejudice, which lead to discrimination does not equal racism. No need in replying back because you’re just gonna miss my point and put words in my mouth. And if I’m a clown, you’re the grand jester to Nicki Minaj based on half the stuff you said and you’re inability to read what someone has wrote. Stop trying to manipulating others word for a whole different argument that is different from the statement they said

I never said they were the same thing, y’all inappropriately brought that word up while racism (which is literally the same thing as racial prejudice, what’s not clicking?) sufficed. I’m definitely not the one incorrectly using racism when I source the dictionary and y’all source... your feelings? It don’t make sense.

I’ve already argued another person about the definition so go read that if you care.

But yeah no replies needed or wanted either since you have the same argument as someone else and I already shot that down so again, you’re the one who needs to read.

Good, glad you agree! In America, where socially and economically white people have the power, it IS impossible to be racist towards us! However, it is possible to have personal prejudices against us. The two are different, however closely related they may be.

Prejudice based on race is included in the definition of racism

But I don't wanna do this again like last time.

Ppl stayed focusing on the technical definition of the word racism rather than the point at hand so it ended up taking away from the whole thing

@Wigless

Words have many definitions and are defined differently by differences sources. Just because you choose to use a redefined definition of the word does not make the technical definition of the word invalid. Nobody is using feelings to argue, but you boo. We are literally arguing over semantics.... and in the case of issue at hand “non pocs getting charge more” is not based on superiority or oppression (technical definition), but more on revenge and that’s why they can/should be defined by different terms.

River

It's like if we charge entry fees for straights people during the pride..

I don't really see it as racism but more like a revenge and it's not nice, it's only causing problems and making the racists happy and feel like they are right..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Actually it happened "other way round" for a long time without a criticism :vegas: and you will not get assulted by asserting your right so you are in better situation, I guess:vegas:

This "eye for an eye" mentality has got to STOP. The whole world is going to go blind sooner or later. Reversing discrimination is not equality. End. Of. Story.

Yes words have multiple definitions and yet the one you have isn’t there 💀 Arguing over semantics as if your definition is one of the multiple options that’s there... ma stop. What’s not clicking with you? How many times and ways do I have to say:

giphy.gif

Also I’m not arguing with feelings when my definition is from a dictionary... that’s you sis when you brought up that “arguing is disrespectful” definition of systemic racism. (2 incorrect definitions yikes)

Not every dictionary is the same. And if you want to use the oxford America dictionary. How does charging non poc more for ticket implies superiority of poc to non poc. You still fail to address that countless of times. And since it doesn’t , it technically not racism

That's pure bullshit. If black person attacks me for my race I don't really think about history and the power of white poeple. I get hurt just like every other person would no matter their race.

interesting, because I'm sure when a person of color is called a racial slur, thats all they feel is the historical context and power of white people. this, what you've just said, shows entitlement. you really feel the audacity to compare the situations? you may be able to ignore the history but those affected by it can't....

Systemic racism isn't going to change just because a certain percentage of America is non white. And it won't just flip and he the opposite like.... What

And they’re not wildly different either... and google would def have th most comprehensive one bc they’d be dragged to hell if they didn’t. They probably got their sources from Oxford and others too.

@Wigless and I bet when you reply, you still will not address it:toofunny:

And bc I agree? Literally was arguing the definition of racism all day, not whether this is racist. It literally could have been. There could have been a hint of “these whites shoulda never oppressed us bc they’re clearly lessor then blacks” + revenge, but the actions of this case don’t say they thought that. The true cause of this action should remain unanswerable if you really want to get technical. I wasn’t even the one who called this racist, but when someone else said “racism involves power” I said sumn bc it really doesn’t - racist thoughts affect power.
