TheCureinMalibu 45,913
decline never really matters if you has a huge first week tbh 'i'd rather have 680k pure sales to 92k pure sales (87% drop) than a 162,000 to 82,000 pure sales (49% drop)

The album that had a smaller drop will probably have better legs than the album that started freefalling from week 2. Lover will probably struggle to do 1M in pure sales. TheCureinMalibu 45,913
like what would you like to have an album that sells 100k copies first week, and then 10k copies 2nd week (-90% drop) or album that sells 20k copies first week, and then 10k copies 2nd week (-50% drop)

Obviously, BTW was bound to drop hard because of the *, but let's not like Lover sales weren't inflated by these four versions of the same album. An 87 percent drop is tragic, no matter how you will try to spin it. I doubt Lover will have more longevity than WWAFAWDWG and ASIB.

I doubt Lover will have more longevity than WWAFAWDWG and ASIB. but the point is it's not an inflated number (and by inflated number i mean the inflated number comes from the company). She never forced anyone to buy all 4 versions having huge first week sales and bigger 2nd week decline doesn't really mean that she tanked or sth, it means that she has huge demands and people want to buy her albums immediately. like what is the difference between selling 1m copies first week and selling 1m copies in 6 months also you saying lover's sales are inflated is like a slap to our face when Born This Way literally sold 450k copies on Amazon with 0.99$ only
