Your argument is too deep. westboro baptist makes websites like godhatesf.ags.com, preaches hate and celebrates death. they go to the funerals of dead soldiers with anti gay, anti america, pro death signs, singing songs and making a mockery of the family. if you equate this attitude with an organisation who doesn't want people to hurt animals and maybe sometimes goes to the extreme of ruining rich people's clothes, you have a frivolous sense of morality. All the same, just different method, they are denying other people's privileges for what they believed in. They can fight for animal rights or whatever rights, but gotta keep in mind just because they did it doesn't mean they can cancel out other people's privileges nor absolve them from their actions, choices or "assholery". I think that a lot of what they do is BS but was this really unexpected? Whether or not you think they're overreacting, that's what they care about. And I don't know why Gaga shouldn't be expected to stick to what she told Ellen. Everyone is just mad because Gaga is being held responsible for going back on what she said. But actually my mama didn't request an animal to be killed, PETA is annoying they must do something to stop people who kill animals not people who wear animal, I mean, the animals were already killed, right? PS: A lot of people wear fur and animals but they don't get b---hslapped for it, only celebrities that obviously doesn't give a **** about PETA get slammed. I don't get it, it's a needless confrontational attitude that would be better spent on the people who kill and manufacture the garments (which they do spend alot of time doing). It's obvious that while wearing this outfit it was her aim to provoke PETA to express some more criticism. She must know by now that her decision to wear fur is not tolerated by many people but she has made it clear that she doesn't care what everybody thinks. Well, she is a grown-up woman and can take the responsibility for her actions. As far as I am concerned she is just getting the attention she wanted.
