The US added a stronger than expected 263,000 jobs last month and the unemployment down to a fresh low of 3.6%

Wages grew at an annual rate of 3.2%. That was slightly below expectations but still above the rate of inflation.

Low wages have been a dragging problem during this economic cycle and in the last year wage growth has really turned around. Employers seem to finally be competing for labor

Amazon for example has risen its lowest payed workers to $15/h, Walmart has risen its lowest payed workers to $11/h above minimum wage and Bank of America rose its lowest payed workers to $20/h!

Good for the USA, but bad for 2020 elections :selena:

Yeah, trump is gonna take credit for this....lower taxes on small business' is part of the reason tho....

If the left would 'recognize this simple fact, and take a more pragmatic taxation approach,  I think they would get more of the middle vote.

like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true

Trumps tax cuts are definitely helping boost the economy and stretching out the expansion

I just wish he came up with the money for it tho. Maybe cut military a bit to help pay for tax cuts?

Running deficits of 5% of GDP during good economic times is extremely rare and almost unheard of, this is very unsustainable

In Canada out last deficit was like 0.8% of GDP and ppl are still trashing Trudeau for it

Of course only a portion of this strength can be attributed to Trump. His tax cuts (which aren't even sustainable long term)

The macro corrections that happened in 2008 to lay foundation for solid growth, the energy boom and low energy prices which have helped growth were not his doing
