I mean... If 1 or 2 doctors are uncomfortable with abortion what's the big issue? There's bound to be other medical professionals available

 

As long as this doesn't affect ppls choice who want to get it.  tho I think in cases where no other medical professional is available then they should have to

 

I wouldn't want to perform an abortion either tbh and im not even all that religious tbh but it's not something in comfortable with and I wouldn't want to be the one to do it

 

It's like euthanasia. It's now legal here in Canada but doctors that don't want to do it don't have to. The hospital cannot force a doctor to do it. If a doctor doesn't wanna do it the hospital has to ask another doctor to do it

Just makes it harder for people to get whatever kind of treatment they need, its undue burden, which is enough for there be people who die or face hardships because they cannot find the treatment they need when they need it...not to mention that it is still making it legal to discriminate essentially

If you don't want to provide a certain kind of healthcare, don't go into that field. There are a ton of different kinds of doctors, you don't have to be a general practitioner. I get what you're saying, but it's more fundamental than that.

Medicine and religion shouldn’t mix in a professional enviroment. Unless the patient refuses a treatment based on faith (blood transfusion e.g.), of couse.
