The main reason Sri Lank isn’t as “popular” is because Westerners don’t pay attention to developing/newly developing countries - not because the Sri Lankans were Christians. And no, I’m not comparing Notre Dame and the tragedy that happened today. I’m just pointing out that if this tragedy were to happen in NYC or any other big city, it would be historic. They were mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, husbands, wives, grandparents, children -- all gone. How many lives lost and forever altered. Before you add to the noise in this thread remember the hundreds of families that were torn apart and the people who now have to live in fear. I was having a good weekend with my loved ones, eating traditional Easter food and decorating eggs with wax and dyes. Some of them attend church, including Easter Sunday mass. To think of all the people who lost their loved ones during happy holidays and services is just a tragedy. These bombings can lead to more divisions, but only if we let them to be. Probably should fix the outdated OP. Lots of fake news going on around social media that this was the work of "majoritarian" Hindus or Buddhist "nationalists". The OP just abandoning this topic like it doesn't matter. Needs to be said who the attackers were - Islamic terrorists.
