Yes i was one of the few who loved it first listen. I knew it would be big. The bridge alone is instantly iconic and the chorus is just such a good melody. But it was even bigger than i thought it would be :tony:

If anything this just shows how little faith ya'll "fans" have in Gaga.

I knew from the first moment I heard it on Beats1 while I was taking a bath that Gaga was coming for that worldwide acclaim again.

I was excited that she was going to prove all these literal little monsters wrong.  :vegas:

"I'm going to fight like hell for them to love this... because it's ****ing loveable"

The melody that you choose can rescue you ♥

I was honestly rooting for ARUTW or INLA. Lowkey Heal Me, too.

I figured it would do fine, but it surprised me how well it actually did. It’s a good song, not a great one IMO and Gaga has so many better ones out there that deserve more recognition than it. And am I the only one that isn’t crazy about the bridge? It’s just a long note, she’s had more electrifying high notes and interesting bridges before. Calling it “iconic” is ridiculous and totally exaggerated.

I knew it would win an Oscar, that’s for sure. Couldn’t predict it becoming a cultural phenomenon.

It was certainly a commercial phenomenon, but I wouldn’t call it a cultural one. The song and movie didn’t introduce any new social topics and it was just love story at heart, with the music helping drive the narrative.

I never thought it would be a flop, but I would never dared to think it would have the success it has today!!:tony:

Based on the "ah ah ah" from the trailer only, I was sure it would have success.

To be compeletly honest, when I heard it on the trailer I assumed that it would obviously be big, cause it’s Gaga, but not AS big as it turned out!
