Simply put, the reason why I fell in love with ARTPOP so deeply is because it's the album that best suits my personality, period. It's just "my style". I can explain a million reasons why I love the album, but in the end it was like magic—it just "clicked" with me. If it doesn't click with you or with other people, that's fine, but to label it as an inferior work of art because it was far more esoteric than her previous work (and later) is just ignorant. I sort of disagree with you on ARTPOP, but yes on the yes-man entourage being a dumb rumor. I never understood the idea that she must have people only saying yes just because people don't like Joanne. If anything, I think that might have been the case seven-ish years ago before she got rid of some members of her team (glad that drama was over and dead). The whole DWUW mess with Terry directing was a terrible idea, and screams that she had only yes men at the time. Then it was dropped and she distanced herself from Terry, partially cause he got exposed, right after when Bobby stepped in and took over. I think most fans show a lot of love for the album because it is perceived as her weakest both critically and commercially, so it needs support from the fans otherwise it won’t have any.
