She never acted like she invented the blond bangs by naming it after herself. She didn't even keep it consistently the same for the next six years (looking at you, Ari). Pushing for some self-named haircut, that, unlike Gaga's blond bangs, looks uncomfortable to constantly see, is just eyeroll-inducing for me. And don't be obtuse. Reporters were either told to ask about her hair, or they only asked because of previous reports on how she named it and made it a big deal. It's cringey and try-hard from the get-go. Gaga was never asked what her blond bangs meant or what they were called, nor was there need for verbal promotion in order to maintain a unique image. These things need to happen naturally.
