Chic 20,830
Not everyone's the same as you... If someone did that to me I'd probably stop writing because I'd take it extremely hard. Good for you that you can rise above such criticism but it's very difficult for others. That's true, everyone's a different artist and can take different levels of criticism. But I do believe that, whether the criticism be strong or weak, polite or impolite, everyone needs at least a little to grow. It took a lot of hate for me to grow as an artist, and as you said, for you it might not be as easy to withstand such critique.
XoXoJoanneGaga 629
Not everyone's the same as you... If someone did that to me I'd probably stop writing because I'd take it extremely hard. Good for you that you can rise above such criticism but it's very difficult for others. Well that's what seperates those who succeed and those who don't. Everyone gets told no. Gaga was told her music/image was crap and she was dropped from Def Jam, but she didn't give up because she was so strong and fierce and ambitious. If she'd had the same mentality back then that she has now, her career would have never happened
Lady 748
Sweet Lord in Heaven, I love her too much to not let all this affect me, so because of that I feel like I should keep away for some time until I can see that she's back in the game with happiness and power, cause I just can't take all this negativity and her sadness, makes me also really sad, which is something I so not need. I'm just a weak person when it comes to things like these. A talent like Lady Gaga and she just can't use and show it in full force...sad, just sad! HausOfMiklaus 1,803
I hope these so-called "fans" start listening ro what she has to say this time. I think we've all grown too confident in our knowledge and ability to dictate what she should and shouldn't do to get more success. She doesn't want success though, not in the superficial, chart hungry sense. She wants to make her art. And sometimes you have to trust that if you truly believe in her artistry. Bye 3,947
That's true, everyone's a different artist and can take different levels of criticism. If she'd had the same mentality back then that she has now, her career would have never happened Well of course being rejected is a part of life. But for some like Chic negative criticism actually makes her focus to prove them wrong while for others, like me, I get hit really hard and give up for a period of time until I get a grip and try again. But until that happens it's pretty depressing.

artRaver 3,188
I didnt say that nor did i even hint at that i meant that shes been sad and depressed lately so she MAY just go back to doing weed which she has said many times that it makes her feel younger and happier. Well I'm sorry for the assumption then, I'm dumb a lot of times. but honestly in my opinion I don't think she ever stopped smoking marijuana she's just way more secretive about it/cutting back a bit IMO, but because of how she's feeling right now she's probably going to go back to smoking copious amounts til she's emotionally numb and happy. ✿ cherry blossom girl ✿
Mythos 3,196
She can do whatever she wants to, thats her freedom and her choice. But also i have the right to not like something she does and i have the right to express my opinion whether she likes it or not. And i'm also not here to be careful about her feelings, cause she is also not thinking about me personally and what i think about her working with people like R. Kelly or Terry... But, i'm being also respectful, i'm not attacking her, or giving her "helpful" criticism, whatever that is supposed to be. I'm just saying what i like or not. For example i didn't like the whole ARTPOP Era, everything has been messy, i also don't like ARTPOP that much, it doesn't have any concept, i hate it that she worked with R.Kelly and is still working with Terry. But i can still respect it, cause its her life and her choice, but she should also respect my choice of disliking it, whether she likes it or not. I think this is a very difficult time for her, it's not easy for her at all. She quit all the d--gs, smoking and everything else, and i know how sensitive a person can become. I stopped smoking 8 months ago and it hasn't been easy, but i have ofter acted i wish i hadn't. I hope for her to be strong and overcome all of her weakness and become stronger than she ever has been. Future will tell, i hope this does end good... teo 609
She does not said she don't need criticism. She just don't need it on her own god dam ****ing website... Why do you think Gaga's not criticized enough??? She is in every way possible. What she's trying to say is that lm.com is like a family. Does it ever occurred to you that you don't need to agree or understand everything, just support her. Do you act like that in real life, do you go around and be like "I think you should do it differently" or "I don't like that" about everything? I kinda disagree though. I don't feel like she lives for success but surely I don't think she doesn't care at all either. I mean would these multiple remixes of DWUW have been made if she didn't care about the chart performance? Would she be as affected by the negativity surrounding the album? Vernier 3,786
Anyone who believed those rumours to begin with actually needs to be committed Interscope wouldn't even spend $25m on Madonna or MJ if he were still alive to promote his albums, much less Gaga, it's such a ridiculous amount, gawd.
