I know you were trying, I know you couldn’t stop it, but I still don’t know who to blame. It’s not your fault, I know, but I can’t find anyone to blame. I’ve been blaming myself for a while and I find myself not knowing what to do. Bobby has been helping me. I think, in a way, we need each other to mourn. He keeps telling me it’s not my fault, and it helps to hear that from someone else. As for music, I’ve put out some new records. All of the proceeds go to the Jackson Maine Foundation, that Bobby and I started. We’ve really grown close since you went away and this foundation really has been our greatest achievement. We take at risk kids off the streets and help them, and through music and the arts, we help them find something to say in their lives. I fired Rez as my manager. After you left, he really wanted to capitalize on your situation and monetize it. He didn’t seem remorseful or anything. His main goal was to make money through any means necessary, I couldn’t be around him anymore. When I fired him, he bad mouthed you and called you worthless and that you somehow deserved to die. I know it doesn’t seem right to do this, but if I had anyone to blame it would be him and what he represents. I know finding someone to blame isn’t helpful, but I just have this urge to find someone to be responsible for this. Rez represented what this whole industry is becoming. It seems like everyday people who are creative are shut down by these people like Rez because they don’t have this “Hollywood look”. If it weren’t for you encouraging me to go on that stage and sing shallow, Rez would have been like the rest of them, thinking I don’t have the look. Once he saw that I could make him money, he jumped on the opportunity to make a few bucks. Bobby has been managing me since then, and I can trust him with my life. Jack, you changed my life. You gave my an opportunity to show the world what I had to say. You were the first person I’ve ever loved, and the last. You will forever be with me, and your life will never be forgotten. The improvement of course being making it a functional time machine so Ally can travel back, kill her manager, and unbreak all our hearts . I would watch that sequel.
