Hating rich white males seems to be the new thing :messga:

Oh yeah, people are totally hating on him solely because he is rich and white, definitely not because of his horrible actions :triggered:

what's up with people defending trash just because they're rich and white?

It’s so easy to point the finger. I was defending a kid who stood still. You can call him names if you like. And just so you know, if you were in his shoes I would still defend you. Who I defend has NOTHING to do with race. Don’t assume anything about me.

your heart is in the right place but this really has everything to do with race and all that “I see no colour” spiel just is a bit offensive in today’s world.

these boys are all blinkered to the struggles of native americans mainly because they are white rich men.  the chanting, the smarmy grins and standing in that veteran’s face were all blatant acts of disrespect.  I don’t hate these boys, after all they are simply representative of a failing of ethnic minorities on a systemic level.

BUT what their actions show is exactly what Trump’s politics/personal rhetoric/acts represent: a complete lack of respect for anyone different, gender, ethnicity or sexuality.

these boys should be the f***ing future, hell I’m sure at least one of them will be going into public office at some point and we see videos of them intimidating a native american man and chanting racist slogans like a band of hooligans?!  THIS is why people are angry, we are regressing it seems and giving more of a platform to these idiots who have now been vindicated for their awful actions, because they’ve been invited to the White House...

people are angry that 50+ years after the civil rights movement, ethnic minorities are still treated like second class citizens and people aren’t being held accountable...

Your heart is in the right place too. But forgive me for pointing out that I never said or suggested that I “see no colours” or that “race is not the issue”.

Superficially, yes. Race and colour are part of the issue. But they’re not the only part of the problem. Thinking in a black/white, good/bad or left/right mindset makes a person dismissive at best and dangerous at worst.

People have every right to be angry at all the injustices in this world. But they need to make sure they are angry at the right people. Otherwise they are just as bad.

A pile of trash that walks and talks. Only in America you are caught on camera harassing a native american old man and you still come out as the victim because you're white.

Trump is the president that americans deserve after all.:vegas:

The Native American old man was the one that approached them and banging a drum in the kids face. There were plenty of other openings for him to get to the Lincoln Memorial. This man is a known liar. He never served in Vietnam despite his claims. He has been caught trying to disrupt a mass service before with his drum and he has made these claims before.

Apparently "horrible actions" = standing still and smiling. Orwell warned about the day that people would get in trouble for "face crimes."

Again, this veteran that you keep talking about never served in Vietnam, went AWOL several times, and was sent to the brig. He is a known liar and has changed his story so many times.

I was more disheartened seeing the vids of the boys from that school calling girls sluts and the blackface event they have.

It is literally a school blackout for a basketball game. They have blueouts and whiteouts as well. It has nothing to do with race. This is definitely reaching.

It's not reaching because I have seen it being argued on numerous news segments and it was all over FB in debates as well.  In 2019, a blackout that consists of a white person wearing black paint on their face is just not a good idea. It "paints" a bad image and causes people to ask the questions they are asking. Let it be a green out or a purple out. Sorry that isnt a great play on words but I would rather dodge any assumptions than utilize a tired word play.

Black paint on white face is an easy way to start drama in 2019.  Funny you ignored the slut remarks tho.

If having an issue with young white males jumping around in black face is reaching then I'm standing right in front of a star.

That footage is from several years ago and is being brought up as recon since the msm botched this story so much. Has your school seriously never done that before? My school had blackouts. It only has a negative interpretation if you give it one. The kids dressed for the blackout basketball game are not even the same kids from the incident. How are they relevant to the situation?

No my school never did that. You cant say with 100% certainty that none of those kids were there unless you were there to see all of the kids. Furthermore, it LENDS ITSELF to a negative interpretation. The point I am making is the best way to dodge a bullet is to not load the gun to begin with!

As far as the paint goes, I've heard from many African American friends and others who wish they would stop it. To them, its black face. You can add me on FB and take it upon yourself to tell them that THEY are reaching if you like. Im sure they would love that conversation. Cuz I'm not gonna argue it anymore.

However....

My issue has nothing to do with that protest anymore (the original topic). There are bigger fish to fry in the world than a snide face and a man beating a drum. Like the fact people are now going 2 weeks without their paychecks and for those living paycheck to paycheck, choices between food and utilities is becoming a reality. Eviction notices will go into effect. This is like Flint on steroids.

So we can agree to disagree.

We have reached a new low in society if a person standing and smirking quantifies national news coverage and death threats against minors.

The hour long video shows him and his class mates being douchebags for an hour with the permission of their chaperones. Not sure what justice your talking about.

We reach a new low daily with this presidency so I've come to conclude the following (lol):

I have heard it all (and)

Nothing surprises me anymore.
