They post horrible things about her soon to be husband, post jokes about her horse dying, joke about her hip breaking, joke about trauma in her life, joke about her aunts tragic young death. She’s a person with feelings and the stuff I see is awful. People are so hyper critical of her work and live vicariously through her. Its twisted. Like if she doesn’t come through with something there are completely unnecessary meltdowns all over twitter etc. Also, she is older and more mature and perhaps she has grown out of social media. Do I think it is a shame? Sure. I would love to get little glimpses of what she is doing with music because I am a fan of hers and it makes me so excited. Yes. Do I wish she communicated more with her fans. Of course because many of her fans are good and kind people. However it is always a few bad apples that spoil the bunch. People lose all sense of human decency when they are hiding behind a keyboard. If you’re not brave enough to say it directly to Gaga’s face then you shouldn’t say it at all. At the same time, she would come off as someone who talks a good game but doesn't do anything (like her talking about ARTPOP being a visual album back in 2012, but then that not coming to fruition). It's a bad idea all around. How did you not realize Enigma would be a greatest hits thing? For one thing, thats what residencies are, and two, she clearly wasn't going to release a new album or single with ASIB OS currently smashing. But y'all ALWAYS created non existent narrative and super UNREALISTIC expectation to get yourself dissapointed in the end, BUT Y'ALL BLAMING GAGA FOR IT! Which is not cool, like, at all! 2School4Cool 6,449 Posted January 19, 2019 Share Posted January 19, 2019 Revealing all of her plans is dangerous because if it doesn’t pan out her fans would be disappointed (a lesson learned from the ARTPOP app, ACT II, DWUW video, Heavy Metal Lover as a single, among many other things). It’s just not a smart business strategy to announce everything you are doing until it’s set in stone. Plus, it’s common for artists to tease their fans because it builds up hype. As tedious as it may be waiting for new music, the wait and hype will make it feel that much better when we finally get it. As for her hyping us up if nothing is coming, I think she was hyping us up for Enigma, or maybe she was just sharing photos she felt we would enjoy. As for Enigma, she never once said anything about new music. It’s pretty common knowledge Vegas residencies are greatest hits shows, at least typically. The rumor of new music was entirely started by fans, not by Gage. I personally don’t think we’re getting new music any time soon, but that’s just my opinion. Some projects may not end up getting green lit by the label or some backlash may occur and they have to scrap it because it isn't appropriate anymore at the time. So most of the time fans will be disappointed when it didn't happen so they are just trying to save the disappointment for us. But with Gaga, I think she is at the point where she is more cautious about what she says or do anymore after ARTPOP coz everyone seems to be overly critical when it comes to her. Right down to the things she say. Other artists weren't kept to that kind of standard because we all know Gaga is already up there but people weren't accepting it coz she's not the traditional pretty, conforming type of female who really speaks her mind and it annoys them, so they will criticize her and ridicule her to pull her down.
