I mean, yeah sure there's a 6-hour time difference, but obviously she can't make it to both of them.

BAFTA is one of the most important major award shows leading up to the Oscars. ASIB is a mega hit in the UK and is virtually guaranteed to be competing in all the major categories.

The Grammys is the Grammys. She's nominated in the General Field for the first time in seven years and actually has a good chance at winning, but if news came out she's not attending, would they still vote for her?

So, which one is it going to be? :ohwell:

I don't think Gaga has a good chance of winning at the Grammys

Did you think she had a good chance of getting all these nominations?

"Shallow" is by far the Grammy-est of all the songs nominated in the General Field. It'll get cross-genre support and benefit the most from the category expansion.

She's 100% winning at least 1 Grammy and 100% isn't winning a BAFTA.

She should go the Grammys, perform, accept her award, and lock her Oscar win for Shallow.

That's what most people seem to think. Bu then again, is it really a good idea to keep reminding the industry that she's primarily a musician rather than an actress? Or the fact that she' going to win Song anyways, so why bother voting for her in Actress?

The oscars are a week or 2 after so she better stay in the US so she can rest on the residency break. This is more important than anything.

I'm really not sure what would be most beneficial. Appearing and performing at the Grammy's for "Shallow" could give it another boost going into Oscars season and lock a win for her at the Oscars for song. I also think that she is getting at least one Grammy.

Does it look good if she snubs the BAFTA's and only Bradley goes? The movie has done so well in the UK and they have been so supportive. It won't really look good for her to not attend when this is her first movie  and industry people will be there.

bloody g

Grammys. Honestly she is primarly a musician like it or not, and she scored 5 noms, 2 of them 100% televised.

Yeah that's a good point. Nobody's going to care if she skips the Grammys. Some are going to care if she skips BAFTA, including a British voters, who make up a very significant bloc in the Academy.

Exactly. She has respect from the music industry already. She's a musical icon already. But as an actress, not yet.
