Furgate - Gaga's response to fur allegations

Doesn't mean she's heartless. She seems to know very much about it, and of course she isn't heartless. In my opinion, I don't really like fur and I don't think the fur trade should continue (and for that, fur purchasing must stop). In any realistic sense I can't stop her, and she knows what she's buying.

Not heartless, but insensitive. To an extent, at least.

Agreed. One thing she does that (imo) is insensitive doesn't make her a completely soulless person.

I corrected my last post, insensitive is what i meant

I'm going to have to disagree with being insensitive. Just because you think it's wrong to wear fur, doesn't make it fact. There's no right or wrong in this case, just lots of opinions. She isn't shallow or insensitive for having a different opinion than you and many others. I don't agree with wearing real fur, but I'm not throwing a fit about it just because she somewhat opposes what I believe in.

I see, but my opinion about her is still the same

I agree with her accept for the Kim part, she is not fabulous Gaga!

It's a joke. Kim got flour thrown on her because she wears fur.

Everybody slamming her here is ignoring the line: "it is hypocritical not to acknowledge the python, ostrich, cow hide, leather, lamb, alligator, "kermit" and not to mention meat, that I have already worn."

I'm sure the majority of people also eat meat, there are animals being tortured for that delicious burger you want to devour. I'm not in love with the fur trade - fur exporters may not have great animal cruelty laws - but it isn't the complete evil people people make it out to be. Dead animals can be skinned, and they would suffer just as much as the cows and sheep slaughtered for food. The only problem is lack of regulation to stop animals being tortured.

Guys, stop shading Kim Kardashian like Gaga's comment was completely random. PETA compared Gaga to Kim on their article, she was just trying to say "Kim Kardashian is fabulous, you can't offend me with this"

She explained her position rather well.

I can't believe fans are angry at her for wearing fur. At least she has the decency to say she's worn animal skin before and actually apologize for offending anybody. And some fans have the nerve to betray her.

Quite sad actually. She doesn't HAVE to support PETA. Instead of protesting her wearing fur or meat, why don't you protest the people who hurt those animals? You're not making a difference by whining about how you're not a fan anymore. :noparty:

b---h just tell us if it's real or not

she basically just said that she reserves the right to buy and wear real fur. If that is important to you, then assume she owns real fur garments, or will buy them in the future.

To be fair, she never did have a strong opinion about animal right in her career, so I don't get why it's such a big deal.

I guess everyone thinks that she thinks of herself as "selfless" after BTW and people are ready and aiming their judgment guns.

THIS.

Exactly. May the non-sinner cast the first stone.
