In movie industry parlance, a film has “legs” when its box office trajectory defies normal patterns by running longer and more successfully in theaters than would typically be expected.  A “leggy” film is one that has strong and profitable box-office stamina and audience drawing power far beyond the opening day or opening weekend.

Sorry, but this is not correct. Ill leave the definitions here. :)

Legs
Legs is a term used to refer to how long a film lasts in theaters.

Multiplier
A film's total box office divided by its opening weekend box office. Another measure of the film's word-of-mouth but with a much wider range of possibilities. Films with below 2.0 are not unheard of, while 6.0 or more are a possibility. Just as a side note, not too long ago films with a multiplier of 10 or more were quite common, but the economics have changed and a big opening weekend is too important to the studios and the home market shortens a film's legs.

Yeah I'm doubtful about Shallow being released this week as well. That source seems shoddy. I'm going to wait for something more credible before I get excited.

I remember before the announcement of the soundtrack release date monsters were saying how it should be released on the 28th not the 5th, if only we knew we would be going up against Kanye, Logic AND Lil Wayne :selena:

Apple Music is turning free users into subscribers at almost 3x the rate of Spotify. 21m paid users in North America.

"Apple’s higher conversion rate,” he writes, “can be attributed in part to iPhone owners having more disposable income compared to Android owners.

Guys, Lil Wayne’s album is dropping this Friday.

so it will be the battle of the rappers. Hopefully his second week are not as strong.

You know this is just my opinion, right?

If it makes it another week, it will tie for the female rap song with the most weeks in the Top 10. ("Starships" holds the record with 21 weeks)

tbh, she already has the record. Starships is 90% a pop song, while Bodak Yellow is definitely rap

y'all keep saying the top 20 is "weak" but isn't it because people are buying less and less music so the "weak" effect is affecting the whole industry, including more recent music? breathin' by Ariana didn’t go top 10 during this "weak" week but still it sold 28k and had millions of streams :oprah:

I have no idea honestly but I think these points include streaming and radio so the increase of streaming should offset the decrease of sales meaning the points are still indicative of what's a strong song regardless of whether or not sales are lowering in total. (at least I think / not 100% sure)

edit: mess just re read what you wrote. I have no clue how to answer that tbh :air:
