The Shallow was performed at the JWT! (Possible spoiler ahead)

ATTENTION, POSSIBLE SPOILER!

I saw the movie today and there is one scene where she performed „The Shallow“ on the JWT Stage with the arena full of people! (in the movie they said it was at the forum) And I am asking myself if they did really good greenscreen and photoshop work or if she really performed it cause it really seems like she did?!

Edit: Didn’t she had a special outfit once at the JWT for million reasons?! With orange hair!? (Little detectives search me this) Then my theorie would be that they put „The Shallow“ over „Million Reasons“ and changed a bit her lips while singing...

No, she shot concert scenes at separate events. I was at a couple and they were really cool! If I remember right, you signed up through a special ticket link or something. 

She sang "Diggin' My Grave" and "When the Sun Goes Down" on Coachella stages during an off-weekend, and did other pop stuff at The Forum and Orpheum I believe.

Pretty sure they used the stage for one of her pop scenes. There's no way she somehow shot The Shallow at a real concert and none of us heard about it -- at the coachella shoots you had to go through security and lock your phones away. No way they just shot stuff at the JWT -- you had to sign up for special event tickets for the shoot days.

If it is that way in the movie, what they likely would have done is filmed her with the stage and lights and everything but no audience, the audience is composited in - it's standard for things like concerts and sports games in movies

I mean she most likely used the stage that was set up for a concert she may have had later  that evening and they could have edited a crowd in. There’s no way she would have done in live at a show in front of 15,000 people and us not have a clue

Very possible. But honestly I was shook! It looked completly real!
