Listen to Children Who’ve Been Separated From Their Parents at Border

"The desperate sobbing of 10 Central American children, separated from their parents one day last week by immigration authorities at the border, makes for excruciating listening. Many of them sound like they’re crying so hard, they can barely breathe. They scream “Mami” and “Papá” over and over again, as if those are the only words they know.

The baritone voice of a Border Patrol agent booms above the crying. “Well, we have an orchestra here,” he jokes. “What’s missing is a conductor.”'

 

Blatant human rights violations are going on that this administration is encouraging and to be honest, loving. This is exactly what they want. If you've seen photos of what these detention centers look like, they look like straight up animal shelters.

These kids are being used as leverage to deter other asylum seekers and immigrants from coming to the U.S. to seek a better life. Essentially, these kids are being emotionally (and probably also physically) abused to serve this administration's own political agenda. I'm not sure how any human being with a moral compass could at this point think the treatment of these children is justified. The right-wing talking heads and Fox News put all the blame on the parents, which is just completely  unfair and an utterly heartless argument to make. 

When you get a chance, please call your local reps and senators and express your outrage about what's going on. The livelihood and well being of thousands of young children are on the line. This cannot continue.

What are you talking about  Democratic senators are to sign a bill that will prohibit children from being separated from their families called the Keep Families Together Act, which no Republican Senator has shown support for despite some admitting to being uncomfortable with the situation.

They introduced a bill that has 43 cosponsors in the senate. What the hell else do u want the Dems to do? They're in the minority.

The US is above International law 

 

Seriously, when the US does stuff in middle East that if any other Country did they'd get sanctions like Russia got for Cremeia and the US never gets held accountable to anything cuz they are the worlds largest economy that's just wrong

 

But every year the US is a smaller and smaller percentage of the world economy as other parts of the world grow more quickly. Militarily speaking too

 

I'm a few decades the US won't pull the level of weight it does now around the world
