Did we forget this threat to LG's potential Oscar for song?

It's no secret that there is potential for LG to be contender for Original Song.

We were too focused on Black Panther, Mary Poppins, maybe even Bohemian Rhapsody. But did we miss that the real threat is ALSO from ASIB?? That Bradley Cooper song sounds kind of amazing. Hopefully LG helped write that but I doubt it.

There's often one song that is used to promote a movie and they would never push a Bradley solo song when they have Lady Gaga on the bill. It's just not going to happen.

I think she wrote or co-wrote everything personally.

Even still, I'm not sure Bradley can deliver the same emotion in a song as Gaga can because, well, he's not an actual singer.

All I know is that I wouldn't be surprised if that song is coming out on Friday. They put it in the trailer for a reason, and remember that one twitter that said June 8th? If I remember correctly they have been right about a lot

I would think they would focus on one as well, and they would choose LG because Bradley will likely get acting nods. However, it's also possible that both songs get in and may result in some vote splitting.

I don't know, I just think that Bradley song sounds pretty great. I can't compare it to LG songs because we didn't get to hear much of them. That trailer definitely favors Bradley.

He sounds pretty good in that clip, but either way it depends how the songs are placed in the context of the movie. The award is suppose to award the song's lyrical content in the context of the story.

City of Stars in La La Land won an Oscar for Best Original Song and it features both Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.

I'm sure they will pick The Shallow instead of that song Bradley is singing because The Shallow features both Gaga and Bradley. Also it is POSSIBLE to push TWO singles at once, BOTH City of Stars and Audition from La La Land are nominated for Best Original Song and City of Stars end up winning.

I think we could get at least two nominations for Best Original Song.
