NotMyFlop 1,979
i am at work, wearing my pink long-sleeved JWT shirt () when this mechanic comes up to me and asks who is on my shirt. "gaga." i replied. he is known for his relative conservatism and we've had quite a few political disagreements. i was nervous about what he was gonna say next. "i like her alot; she's got talent." he replied. he then went on and said "you know, i grew up on queen. i loved them. but, my generation had madonnna, queen, prince, bowie, whitney, aretha..." "you know why there are so few legends from artists today?" "why?" "they don't have their own brand/uniqueness. artists today make good music, but they all make the same kind of music. i have several songs by younger arists. usually my grandkids download the songs i like for me. the probelm is, i don't know any artists or can tell you what they've done. i was never huge on bowie, but i know what he did/done. i know names like beyoncé and all, you are always gonna know the big names, but i don't know her music. it's never connected. gaga is the only big pop star i like. she never does the same thing twice. did you know she's performed with metallica? right after the superbowl? gaga's different and her antics sometimes has bothered me, but she has a talent. she makes great music and truly has her own brand. she's the only artist that reminds me of the greats." i was shakened. note: i didn't record this so it's not 100% word for word but this is relatively the same thing he said. Antichrist 9,818
it bothers me so much when little medonsters get so hungry for her to have #1 hits & endless success. they don't realize that she's building a god damn legacy, and i'll take her being remembered for decades anytime over having a few #1's & vanishing into abyss. Saade Baena 1,786
Yes, Gaga may not be so popular on the charts but she has her mark. Ask anyone about Gaga and this person will quote things she has done. I was surprised one day when my 6-year-old cousin asked me about Gaga. He was interested to know if she has released new songs. Mirages 20,259
No lies detected! Gaga honestly has that old hollywood superstar feel to her. She's the last one to have that and I feel it's also because of the way she became famous. She had her demo, she wrote for other artists, she got dropped by a label and always did her own thing. I'm the bitch that's fragile
culturalbaptism 2,930
The general public has spoken. "We love her again" indeed. Cheek To Cheek and Joanne did their jobs. Talentga is seen as talented again. Judas is coming, let the cultural baptism begin.

nerdfacekillah 4,485
my parents make joke about and don’t like the clothes she wears (sigh) but they do agree she is talented. especially my dad because when there are news about music awards and performances ( mtv, grammys) he asks: did gaga perform there? If you don’t have any shadows, you’re not standing in the light.

SolidSnake 2,804
You see what being unique artist gets you? and most of this forum would still rather her be a generic pop girl who brings "bops" and does trap lmao.
