The Tarrifs on steel will affect the US WAAAY more than Canada for the simple fact that no one is exempt now He's biting off more than he can chew. Other Nations are starting to retaliate and America will slowly isolate itself and shy away from Globalization. Every Nation that isn't open to trade economically does poorly because they don't gain the economic efficiencies of trade because business is done in bulk and therefore cheaper to produce goods and sell them I find it sad that he's so against globalization. He's walking away from international deals and agreements like the Paris climate change deal and NAFTA, with the concept "America is first" in his mind. USA has so much potential for growth and innovation, and it's not fair to anyone living inside for it to be closed off. I fell down the stairs once as an actor. I know. I don't think they will last either. Also because the US is so large and more domestic than most countries and trade makes up a smaller portion of US GDP than most Countries (something like 10% to 12%) a short term trade war shouldn't by any means collapse the US economy especially with it being in a strong expansion right now But it's crazy how flawed his understanding on trade is. And many Canadians were insulted that we are one of the few Nations to import more from the US than they import from us but Trump took forever to acknowledge that simple fact and he kept slapping us with the Trade deficit BS to demand unreasonable changes from us when the statistics fully showed he was lying As for the Trade Deficits the US has with the world as a whole I can tell you that first of all it's not as bad as he says and 2nd of all the trade deficit the US does have is self inflicted not because of bad trade deals These days a lot more trade is financial or service based which is harder to measure it all (but that's also where the US excels at). For example US investors may lend cash to a developing Country that pays higher interest rates say 6%. The investors in that Nation that buy US debt only make 3%. They measure the money put in as foreign investment but in reality US is making more profit and more inflow. Stuff like this often is not fully measured. There have been articles written about how trade balance numbers now are not fully accurate because goods and simple services that are easier to accurately measure often get overshadowed by harder stuff to measure Also things are so interlinked that an imported product could even have parts or components from your Nation making measuring the true balance of trade even in physical goods complicated Even so, whatever the true trade deficit the US has is self inflicted. US policy of consistently running large budget deficits means the US puts a lot more money in economy than it takes out and energizes the economy and gives it the means to pay for and consume beyond what the wealth it generates from its exports and productive capacity would allow it to The hundreds of thousands of military personnel with the $700 Billion military budget for example? They are human beings who consume goods as well but they do nothing industrially productive All of this affects trade balance way more than technicalities about how a trade deal is written

RAMROD 117,958
LMAO his old rich peers no gonna be happy about this. The regular American person do not drive German cars anyway. People mostly drive a Ford or Japanese cars. Korean cars sales are steadily rising too. And the new money and young execs are starting to drive a Tesla these days. CannaeDrive 3,412
That sounds like BS, but there's more Japanese, Korean, British, and Italian cars if you really need a pricey luxury car. "Fame Is A Boomerang" - Maria Callas

I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch It would be one thing if Conservatives hated Trump, and some do, but many have gotten over him and accepted hes president, and the Conservative media and pundits will 100% coalesce around their person even if they don't like, even if hes not a real conservative, and constantly use media to spread propaganda and misinformation into getting uninformed masses to like him too. He will be hard to beat in 2020 and Dems who are expecting the fact that hes clearly one of the worst president's in recent history will help them win aren't doing enough to ensure that independents and young people get out to vote andnot just vote, but vote Democrat. It's the same attitude that has squandered the huge lead they had going into the primaries this year and why this "Blue Wave" idea is much much less likely and maybe even DOA for all we know (It's what I'm expecting, but honestly Trump winning has made me a pessimist and I also now just don't underestimate people's idiocy and latent bigotry) That being said, much of Trump's "policy" is truly, just anti whatever Obama and Democrats have done before, regardless of whether it is unequivocally good for the country and the world, so while this one thing may be undone if Dem's take over (and win back House or Senate or get close so its not just a stalemate lol) there may still be permanent damage to our global perception and standing with allies and non allies. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
