Kinda confused of how Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal and Thriller peaked at #7 and #4 respectively despite being the two of his biggest hits.

Madonna's Hung Up too, peaked at number 9, I think. Blame 'American Life'

Hung Up peaked at #7 because it was almost completely blacklisted by US radios after American Life era.  Agree with Thriller and Smooth Criminal not going #1.
