rumours 45,521
Is this what being a Little Monster was like in 2010 (when the video was made)? Is this what prehistoric GGD was like? I’m traumatized and confused right in front of my dairy-free, GMO-laced salad... Spoiler Also, I apologize if wrong section

culturalbaptism 2,930
Far from it. It was a very fun time. Vevo was pretty much starting and I remember being perched for new Lady Gaga videos. It was very exciting watching Telephone in 1080p. Alejandro was also a moment, with all the snippets. Then she won the VMA and sang Born This Way for the first time and the rumors started coming. I bought my copy of the deluxe version of The Fame Monster in the beginning of 2010 and spent the whole year playing it. Social media was new and exciting, I spent a lot of time checking Gaga on Twitter. I would say 2009-2011 were the best years to ge a Gaga stan. There were so much stuff going on, I feel sorry for the younger Little Monsters. I started losing interest in her predating the ARTPOP era. It was a lot of rumors, shitty quality leaks and promises. By the time the album was out I was tired and the sound was lacking for me. Then I started to check other discographies and Gaga took her time off. Cheek To Cheek was boring. The most exciting thing was that "you should buy 10" gif. That show was a complete mess. Then there was another long gap and I kept investing in other singers. I enjoyed the beginning of the Joanne era, I was thirsty for new Gaga music but the era also died pretty quickly since everything nowadays has a short spam. It's kinda sad that I'm not as invested in her as I was in 2010-2011. If you check my Last.fm you'll see that I spend a lot of time playing other artists. I think Gaga is not even in my top 10 anymore. Judas is coming, let the cultural baptism begin.
Supersonic 49,376
It wasn't fun, you'd have the same messy promo/broken promises/unanounced reschedules, worried about Gaga cutting herself/falling back into her eating disorder/passing out on stage from exhaustion and were constantly made fun of for stanning for a "ugly tr*nny"

And it wasn't rumors like Frankensteined and all on Twitter and GGD, it was global rumors that made headlines and EVERYBODY knew about them

And we atleast had singles back then. We had magazine covers every day, constant performances, accolades, interviews, etc. Artistically, she hasn’t done anything interesting since. Sad part, ARTPOP didn’t produce any music visuals (but the fashion was fun). C2C was a nice project but boring and only lead up to AHS. Joanne suffered the same fate as ARTPOP, no real music visuals. We had loads of performances this era too, and I didn't mind the music videos this era as well. I don't care about photoshoots, magazine covers or accolades really. Fun at times, but I also could go without them completely. I'm not an insecure stan twitter account that leeches off somebody else's success or is ready to stan an untalented person just because they looked pretty on the cover of Glamour once. And I'm not willing to sacrifice a person's well being just because "everything was more fun" when she was more f*cked up in the head. lol.
