She's just a puppet just like Britney Madonna is without a doubt one of the most underrated women in the music industry. she's a true artist. the things some artists dont tackle (such as politics), she tackles, and in her own creative ways. (and obviously we're not talking about those white house comments). You're very misinformed.

PartySick 159,824
Every artist that "loses their spark" "lost it" due to something out of their control though. Michael's career took a downward turn after the media and tabloids began frothing at the mouth whenever the thought of getting a scoop on him came up. The false allegations of child abuse and the hit that his mental state took afterwards did him in, both career wise and personally 'cause that led to his drug addiction and eventual overdose His music became more paranoid and angry on HIStory and Invincible because those he trusted hurt him and used him. Sure there were a few songs from his last albums that captured that same spirit he had in the 80's, and they did well on the charts, but after the second set of allegations, he all but quit and his former success never really returned Britney had a complete mental breakdown due to the hounding media. The girl lost her mind and it's not easy to rebound from that but she's working on it and recovering nicely. Honestly her strength in the face of mental illness is why I stan her Gaga's had a few hits to her fame and person. Getting really famous really fast, the drugs, breaking her hip, the media backlash with every move, fibromyalgia, and every little thing inbetween that life likes to throw at all of us. Not to mention the fact that she's older and obviously wants to have a family and now would be the best time to do that...well, after the Vegas shows of course she's slowing down. She's playing for longevity here after all. In 50 years, do any of you honestly think we'll be getting new music from half of the pop stars of today? They'll fade into obscurity like flashes in a pan because they always play off of trends and that doesn't create legends nor does it make an icon. Gaga will remain iconic, just like Michael, and though her commercial success will drop down, she'll still be sitting pretty in a Malibu castle, surrounded by her animals and family, knowing that any music she makes will be eaten up by us loyal Monsters that'll need special coffins made to keep our paws up after death Just let her be human. 🌸Flourishing and vibrant🌼
Edge Of Venus 731
Some people here are missing the point. It's not that we want the "crazy outfits" back, it's just that we feel like she's been way too concerned about public's perception in recent years. Yes it was necessary to strip it down and showcase her raw talent, but I think she's already achieved that with the Oscars/National Anthem performances, and I think the whole Joanne era was just an overkill and everything screams "look at how normal and talented I am!" and I lowkey hate that. Gaga used to be a ruthlessly creative misfit - that was her brand. And now she's become the exact opposite, and even when GP praises her it's always backhanded compliments like "thank god she's not wearing those stupid outfits anymore. She used to be an attention *****!" She's building respect at the expense of her original legacy.
monketsharona 80,306
Just wait for LG6... You all act like she done, seriously just wait and see. Gaga is in pain for long and she achieved brillant things. Joanne was planned to be her tonned down period, that doesnt mean her next albums will be the same. I'm even pretty she has a lot of exciting things coming for that album (even if she's not touring for it)

dit 46,417
I did notice that her stage presence & ability completely changed. Doesn't mean it got worse though...It's just ever since the Artrave I noticed something was a bit different with the way she performed. She has done amazing performances since that time. It was just "different" which I think a lot of fans struggle with. So many of you became fans during the TF, TFM & BTW era so i understand why this change can be seen as regression instead of just an organic shift. In terms of her visuals..yeah that has been obvious and almost indisputable since the ARTPOP era. Even tho she delivered a lot of MVs i did not like during the BTW era I still appreciated the fact that she released 5. Since ARTPOP (which unfortunately got messed up because of management) she has been delivering very mediocre mvs (for me / in my opinion). I know the Joanne era is meant to be toned down but I think there is a proper way of executing captivating yet super simple visuals and she didn't manage to really do that (maybe a bit with the Joanne mv though). Still hopeful about this part of her artistry but I don't think that will change much...John Wayne was a big colorful mv but it still felt poorly executed imo so I am not that excited in that regards I guess. In terms of her music, for me I adored all of her records. Even C2C so I am VERY VERY glad with that aspect of her career and extremely satisfied as a consumer and fan. Plus it is at the end of the day the most important element of her artistry right? Her actual music! My check board: Performance ability - Visuals - Music -

Gaga pushed herself to the limit in which, having a Joanne era was the best thing she could ever do. She needed to reset her career in order to go crazy and creative again. She gained A LOT of respect and a lot of new fans. She showed her self to the public. Also..she will always be the artist that will have haters no matter what, bcuz she is still the best out there. Since ARTPOP ended, she went into a phase where she improved her voice and her emotions. She was able to dive into different genres of music and to explore her acting side more. Yes she went into a depresion and some other problems we will never find out about ever, but with her family's help, she managed to get over it and to build her up again. Also the buzz was too loud for her, so having this time for herself its a good way of healing ur wounds. Believe me...next album will be amazing. Well...at least for me ! I have the exact same thoughts And anyways... I am more worried about her health than her music now....
lairofhk 931
I honestly think she's just maturing, as both an artist and a human being. I also think the Gaga of 2008-12 couldn't continue forever. No way. At this point it just feels like it was an event, but I feel like it's also supposed to be that way. That's not to say I don't miss those times. But I've also enjoyed seeing her grow, as we've seen her do a lot. Not gonna like tho, I'm really hoping for new music soon. She has restored her public image but at the same time she trapped herself between two distinct identities and demographics. Most monsters want innovative pop tunes with visual extravaganza but she's also gained a new audience who prefers the stripped down/adult contemporary version of her. We all know damn well that the label is gonna be hell bent on her recreating MR 2.0 with the next album. It's gonna be very challenging to strike a balance. Hate to bring up Madonna again but ROL was a successful case in that situation. She rebuilt her reputation with those 90s ballads and Evita, and made the real comeback with a mature electronica album that pleases everyone. I have no doubt Gaga still has IT in her but sometimes she overthinks too much. I just fear that they will push her further as an AC artist like P!nk, which is something that I PERSONALLY don't want to see.
