eNICKma 240
I believe its simply because the common message throughout her entire career (and even before her career) is about self liberation/respect, freedom, no hate, bravery, and equality. Looking past an image and accepting people for who they are instead of negatively judging and criticizing ones who are brave enough to go outside the cultural norms and display their own unique individuality. I think the LGBTQ community understands what it means to feel rejected at times so a common outlook and code we live by is everything Gaga stands for. Shes the real trailblazer of our time, and Queen.
ZephyrInTheSky 1,235
This is a question that sometimes wakes me up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. "Why are most little monsters hunties? why do i listen to so much female pop? who am i?" then i go back to sleep. But seriously i always wondered why so many gay men love female pop stars and never got a satisfying answer. Do we subconsciously identify as part female? do we have the same DNA and born this way? Perhaps we just feel safe because shes shown so much support and encouragement to our community. I dont really see that with male pop artists TBH. There can be 99 bottoms in the area but all it takes is 1 top to believe in you.

This iconic interview of her standing up to a homophobic interviewer won many gays over: I remember seeing this at age 10. Ahh the memories. My queen. I think it’s just because she’s just a strong woman, not all but a lot of gay men are inspired and look up to strong sexual women. But I am gay but also love rap music and male artists that happen to be singing or rapping about females so idk. I think that’s my musician in me. So basically during BTW she replaced GP with gays But what's so gay about BTW? I've listened to it don't come for me Nothing feels specially gay about it, just empowering as a whole to anyone Well, hearing "I'm beautiful in my way, God makes no mistakes, I'm on the right track baby, I was born this way" might be nice for a heterosexual person that's suffering from anxiety, depression, or some other struggles but it can be life changing for someone raised with the idea that they are wrong for being who they are and that idea is reinforced everywhere in society So while it's not inherently gay, it tends to mean a lot more to gay people than to most straight people 🌸Flourishing and vibrant🌼

I’ve only seen boy bands/male pop stars have tons of girl fans online Actually when I went to the Bangerz tour I was surprised that it was like 75% girls. It's usually at least half gay guys at pop shows I've been to, if not more.

I could get multiple orgasms cuz I had no refractory period but I didn't know how to appreciate multiple orgasms at 6 cuz I didn't understand what it was I was experiencing. I just knew it felt good. I only learned about sex when I was 9 from an older friend. Now in my Province (Ontario) sex-ed starts in grade 2. When I was in school it started in grade 5 which was way too late Also the multiple orgasms ended when I was 11 - 12 and started releasing. Now if I want to last long I have to do edging. That's fun too tho I always wondered how female orgasms feel like. How different is the sensation. They say it lasts longer tho the downside is that it's harder to achieve That's quite a confession. I'm not used to you being this racy! Yeah, female orgasms are different...although I can only speak from "personal" experience if you know what I mean. They last longer and are more intense. The first few times, I had to bite my lip to stop myself screaming out loud and waking the entire household because they'd want to know what I was screaming about! Shame those glory days didn't last long. I can't get anything out of it these days to the point where I don't even bother. It's easier to get somewhere by just sitting and thinking now. Yes, I've always found it weird. Gaga's so focused on songs about being a woman that it puzzles me why, LGBT ambassador or not, why so many gay men are drawn to her work. It seems like her biggest fans all seem to be gay males, which makes me feel very alienated. It's a pity that my favourite artist simultaneously has a fanbase that I find so difficult to relate to. Not only are a lot of her fans gay males, they have very different personalities to me, you see. I stick it all out because it's the music that really matters but it doesn't surprise me that so many of Gaga's original female fans left her. I think if she still had the same amount of gay fans but didn't make a big deal out of it or overly address it, it might have been different.
