And from what I've read, it's only an issue in the USAs. No one besides you gives a rat's ass about it, unless it's purposely meant to stereotype black people in a bad way... which is, newsflash, not the case here. I agree that they could have took already dark people but it would be cute if y'all started labelling everyone that doesn't believe brownface is an issue a racist, because it's only a thing in like ONE country in the whole world. Y'all make it a big deal because you heard it was one even though you're not concerned, and when someone disagrees you jump to conclusions and start acting all patronizing. But you seem not to be able to make a difference between Vaudeville, which is disgusting, and just changing your skin colour as part of a costume. I just don't get why such a big deal is made with that. Skintone is JUST a physical feature, just like hair, colour of eyes and such. You're trying to spread the message that we're all humans, that we're all equal, that our race doesn't make who we are, yet you make a big deal out of someone using makeup to change race ? I believe that racism is pretty simple to explain : it's hate towards a certain race. Using makeup to have a darker skin isn't hateful. So what's all that controversy about ?
