Bellatrix 34,796
Experimental. Radio music is boring nowadays. Everything sounds the same. Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

Supersonic 49,376
Radio friendly and experimental are not opposites though. Some of Gaga's song are definitely not experimental but also definitely not radio friendly (G.U.Y., Perfect Illusion for example). From a musical and songwriting standpoint, hardly any of her material could ever be considered experimental, the only thing that makes it sound experimental & unusual is the instrumentation, production & arrangement. I find this comment kinda funny cos this has been said, like, since forever People would've said the same during the dance-bop days of Gaga & Black eyes peas etc and would've been said in the 80s 'glory' days about all the popular songs then aswell

Why do her 'experimental' song only sound , but aren't experimental? Aura I think is probably her most complex from a songwriting perspective/melodically. Bloody Mary, HML & Electric Chapel are all quite conservative in structure and melody. They sound experimental because of instrumentation (gregorian chants in Bloody Mary, the prominent electric guitar & chorus where the instrumentation drops out mostly in Electric Chapel, excessive vocal layering, auto-tune & effects along with disharmonic synths on Heavy Metal Lover).
