Gaga To Cover US Vogue's March Issue?

I feel like we're always hearing this rumour but someone has posted on TheFashionSpot that they've heard Gaga will be on the March issue of Vogue this year. Now we're no strangers to insiders in this fanbase but the people who post on that forum are actually legitimate and are generally in the business, or have connections, and this person in particular has been correct many times in the past about future cover star rumours. HOWEVER, they did state that this information does not come from the usual source, so take with a grain of salt!

It's always fun to speculate though, right?

Maybe Vogue booked Gaga thinking she had a movie coming soon, and then by the time ASIB was pushed back it was too late to cancel Gaga, so they just went ahead with it

I thought that too when I first read it. I can definitely see them having done some big Annie Leibovitz shoot with Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Although the March issue will be out in mid Feb and the film was going to be May it would have been early promo, but I can imagine they might have been releasing a song from the soundtrack before the movie so it would make sense. 

Unless Gaga plans to release something in the meantime it would not surprise me at all if they pulled the shoot and re-shot it for later in the year or, if the shoot is ASIB themed and they go ahead with Gaga anyway I can see them redoing it. It will have been shot at least a few weeks ago but Vogue have been known to pull shoots and re-do them; I believe Carey Mulligan's cover for The Great Gatsby was redone a couple of times when the movie's date changed, and Nicole Kidman's cover from a couple of years back was reshot by a different photographer with the original inside shoot shot by someone else running inside. There have been many other instances of cover stories being redone or shoots being pulled last minute and swapped for someone else completely.

It would’ve made sense to have her for the September issue since ASIB is being released in October. But if it’s is indeed March, Gaga must be planning some sort of release  If this is true, of course.

Maybe this was in the works when ASIB was still set to be released in May, but now, it doesn't really make sense anymore. Unless there's something we don't know, she'll be virtually absent from the radar for most of Spring and Summer.
