TEANUS 16,028 Posted 22 hours ago Share Posted 22 hours ago (edited) There are some great moments in MAYHEM’s sequencing: the opening trio is one of her best, if not the best and Vanish Into You-Killah-Zombieboy is an epic journey through synthwave, funk, and pop rock. However, the latter half could be arranged to better organize the highs and lows (in my opinion) of the tracks. It often bothers me that the album ends with three midtempo tracks The danceability is gone for the last 10 minutes. Here’s what I would do: 1. Disease 2. Abracadabra 3. Garden Of Eden 4. Perfect Celebrity 5. Can’t Stop the High 6. Vanish Into You 7. Killah 8. Zombieboy 9. Kill For Love 10. The Dead Dance 11. Don’t Call Tonight 12. Shadow Of a Man 13. The Beast 14. LoveDrug 15. How Bad Do U Want Me 16. Blade of Grass 17. Disease- Her suffering from said spell, like it's a disease(hehe). 3. Can't stop the high- Gaga experiences the success that the spell grants her in return for her pain. 4. Shadow of a Man- She starts to realize that even with all her success she still fails at getting proper recognition and with that- 4. Perfect Celeb- Proper care and love, the fame takes a toll on her. 5. Don't call tonight- Gaga grows distant from her loved ones as a result. 6. Lovedrug- Gaga searches for love in the midst of it all. 7. Garden of Eden- She obtains the love! 8. Killah- 👅 9. The Dead Dance- They break up. 10. Zombieboy- Gaga meets another lover, but since she's so heartbroken still, she doesn't even believe she deserves them (You're better off a fantasy). 11. How Bad do u Want me?- Still struggling with the fame and unsure of her new lover, she starts to question if she is really desired. 11. The beast- She sees the flaws of her new lover, and accepts them, just as he would accept her own beast in the mistress of Mayhem. 12. Blade of Grass- She heals with her lover, and with the public at large. 13. Die With A Smile- She's content with her current life, not being phased by death. The mistress essentially loses in her quest to subdue Gaga in pain. 14. Vanish Into You- Gaga fully accepts her uglier side, the mistresss, knowing it cannot harm her anymore, vanishing into her. I love the whole adrenaline from Disease to Zombieboy, the mid tempo part of LoveDrug, How Bad and Don't Call Tonight only to pick it up again with Shadow of a Man and slowly transition into the end parts of The Beast, Blade of Grass and finish with Die With A Smile. The standard version is perfect and I really do like the expanded one because all 3 of those actually fit well in there so it's also a nice listen if I'm in the mood for that one. I love Zombieboy but sometimes by the time I get to it I feel exhausted so LoveDrug is like a comfy track in the middle to me that makes me feel relaxed so I really enjoy those 3 parts of the middle before Shadow of a Man.
