We had radios and MTV growing up, with their roll out of all kinds of music just in 1-2 hours slot of shows. The late gen Z don't have that, they mostly listen to what they wanted to on streaming app like Spotify or AM. They mostly don't know many artists until some old hits went viral on tiktok, or their fave artists mention them on a tweet or doing a collab with them..., or until the algorithm introduces them to. MAC 1,960
I noticed this a lot with younger people. They only know current or celebrities from their time. They don’t know history. Not all but a lot.
MountainMonster 2,066
Not surprised. I think that was the entire strategy for why she was there.
Lemon Blood 573
As a Gen Z myself I can say that only people who live under a rock and are out of touch with pop culture don’t know who Madonna is I’m always craving Dragon Fruit 1
tylerjs 6,069
why is it surprising? I barely knew about Madonna as a kid and I was born in 1996. Literally could not have picked her out of a lineup until I was maybe like 12? If it wasn’t for her releasing that Justin Timberlake song in like 2008 or whatever it was I wouldn’t have really been aware of her at all until much later tbh 🇨🇺🇧🇸 “It’s one banana, how much could it cost? $10?” 2

The Breast 4,908
Not surprising. I found out about Madonna when talking with my parents about Gaga To be fair I was pretty out of touch with pop culture, I also didn't know a ton of other famous singers. I had only heard Material Girl and Hung Up online before but that's it, nothing else Edited April 18 by The Breast NO GOOD TEA GOES UNGAGGED 1 1
