"In the beginners mind there are many possibilities, in the experts there are few." - Zen Master Shunryu Suzuki.

People can learn to approach things with a new perspective, with "beginners mind."   For Gaga fans, we are each "experts" in the particular form or music from Gaga that we like.    We are "experts" when we see producers names, or video producers names, or a song name, or a photograph, and we decide what the result should be based on that, and based on feedback from the many other "experts" on the forums.  We start to decide what LG6 should sound like based on our pre-conceptions or our "expert" opinions on what she should be doing with her career.

Gaga has a long history of defying "experts" however.   The concept of "Beginners mind" is to forget what you think you know, and be open to new experience even when you are completely familiar with a subject.  In fact, the more you know about something, the more you can benefit by forgetting what you know and allowing a new experience of the subject to  take you in unexpected directions and out of the box thinking.

Gaga has taught me that whatever I expect is going to be wrong.  Therefore, I don't even bother trying to guess what she is up to.  I just let her do her thing, and approach her work with new eyes and ears every time.  Gaga gives me continuously new experiences and unexpected surprises, and that is really what I most want from an artist.  Getting what you expect every time is uneventful.   The unexpected though, that is a gift.

Born To Slay

I'm often uncomfortable because I don't really like change but ironically, a lot of the Time the change I was worried about ends up being great and I don't want that to change, it's an odd cycle.

When I open this thread I was prepared to give some relationship advices, but this is not the case..:selena:

Well, we always expect way too much and that's the reason we always end up disappointed. But sometimes we're right tho, for example, the MR MV is terrible.

I live outside the space time continuum.
