Gaga was getting burnt out and running out of ideas, so the only thing left to do at the time was to go the crazy route to shock the GP. Unfortunately for her at the time, it didn't work and made her look a little try-hard. Thank god for Tony and Cheek To Cheek. Gaga really needed to gain the respect of the GP back and show that she wasn't all just smoke and mirrors. It's been a long process, but I think it has worked and her next album will slay! It was a dangerous thing to do on her part regardless, but if she was fully aware of how creepy they were, perhaps it was a clever move on her part. Think about it. What's the song about? On the Graham Norton show, she said that it was about how the media scrutinise and harass the artist, and if that's the way the entertainment business is going, her only way of defending her power is by letting them her body, because they can never take her heart or her mind.
