Alcohol im not quite as against in moderation as cigarets because cigarets are more addictive in small amounts than alcohol. Also some alcohol such as red wine even has health benefits such as anti-oxidants and anti-aging properties if not over-done

 

However when abused alcohol is terrible for u too. It would be hard to control it now tho because culturally people have access to have as much as they want and u can get it in bars, stores, restaurants and theres no way to truly control people from becoming alcoholics

 

If weed becomes easily available and easily accessible, in time it would become like alcohol... would culturally be too difficult to put back controls on it and it just wouldnt happen

 

Thats why id prefer it remain controlled and only for medical reasons...

 

The moment u make it easy and legal theres no going back

 

Of course... i get that it being illegal doesnt stop many from getting it... but to some extent it holds many back. Its just not a healthy thing

 

some Countries (mine included) are banning trans fats, putting ever higher taxes on ciggarrets to get people to stop smoking and all these things to inprove health... so why the heck add another substance to be more easily accessible to recreationally abuse? Makes no sense to me  

I, personally, don’t see marijuana as anything terrible. If it were legalized it would be just like alcohol. People I know have never had any issues with marijuana when driving or operating machinery.

 

my only issue with your view is the whole “wine is good for your health. So is grape juice, Susan. (Directed at the suburban mothers that use that as justification to down a bottle of wine a day)

1 drink for instance will not make u high or out of it like weed. U can have a beer or glass of wine without feeling almost anything especiallu with food. it obviously isnt regulated much other than age restriction. Theres alcoholics that destroy themselves with but but it would be hard to go back now

 

same with weed, once regulations come off, people get used to easy unrestricted access, it would be hard to put it back

 

Its just like cigaretts which are even worse. How do u ban it now thats its been legal so long? It would be hard

Ok so is grape juice... ok but what does that change? Does it invalidate the benefits of red wine?

 

besides grape juice comes with lots of added sugar and is more processed and artificial than wine tends to be. I bet the benefits are harder to find in grape juice but i cant be sure of this.

 

And pot has been shown to increase odds of developing szophrebia (i can never spell that ill ess correctly) by 4X especially when its use is started younger

 

Also the smoke chemicals can be cancer inducing

 

Its not harmless

 

We already have tabbacco, junk food, alcohol which u can get unlimited amounts for ppl to destroy themselves with

 

i feel like this is just many yet another vice easily accessible
