Call me conservative but i still dont get why some ppl wanna force its recreation legality so badly it get weed isnt as bad as hard drugs but it still isnt good for u so why the hell do we want to encourage its use? Medical uses In America, on a Federal level, it is categorized as a Class 1 drug. Other Class 1 drugs include heroin, LSD, MDMA, and others. Obviously marijuana isn't as bad as heroin. Medical use are already legal in many places But im talking about recreational use Also considering u get smoke in ur lungs, impacts ur brain chemistry etc... Myself included tbh Something pricey and damaging like this is even worse. Ppl being high can cause accidents more frequently than someone being sluggish from mcdonalds! So its not even just long term effects tbh i dont think fast food and weed is on the same level and its silly to compare but in principal... its just bad stuff in our society... Edibles, vapes, oils, and topical products are growing every year, and are not seen as dangerous at all. I don't think things like edibles or soft drinks are a danger, you will not overdose from marijuana. Though some people will have bad highs, they are not in danger when compared to a person who has had too much to drink. For me personally it is definitely more comforting to know that someone I love would turn to marijuana rather than alcohol when feeling like they needed an out. I'd rather see more discussions on mental health and how the government isn't focusing on it enough for Canadians. I feel too many people are focused on tearing down behaviors that could've been treated early on if voters and the government cared enough for mental health. Those who rely on a relaxant or a high are most likely struggling and could use help, but often can't afford it or is not getting the care they are supposed to. Seeing that it helps with a wide variety of illnesses...including seizure disorders that were previously uncontrollable, depression, anxiety, PTSD, Cancer pain and nausea, and all types of chronic pain without the severe side effects of prescription drugs....I think the positives FAR outweigh the negatives!
