White nationalist leader Richard Spencer gave Israel as an example of an “ethno-state” he aspires to create in the United States during a controversial speech at the University of Florida on Thursday. Hundreds protested Spencer's presence outside the auditorium.

“The Jewish state of Israel is not just another country in the Middle East. It is a country for Jews around the world,” he said. The audience booed at the mention of Israel.

Spencer also mentioned Poland, Russia and Hungary as "European states that want to uphold their identities,” saying that he doesn't "want the world to be an undifferentiated mass of individuals going shopping in a global economy.”

He said that, “like Jews in the 19th century had an ideal of Zionism,” he and his compatriots have a dream of a white American “ethno-state.”

To the boos and chants and jeers, he yelled defiantly “I’m not going home!” He bemoaned the oppression he said he experienced in Charlottesville, where he said “free speech was stifled.”

Andrew Anglin, the American blogger who runs the neo-Nazi Daily Stormer website, has called on followers who are unable to attend Spencer's speech in Florida to target Jewish and African-American institutions, the Anti-Defamation League said.

To be pretty honest... not looking for debates. I don't know or want to pretend to know how to fight against stories you've heard before but wow it's so not like it... but other than that, yes, there are problems all over the world so maybe you should have more proportions.

ON TOPIC: don't even know or care enough about the subject we're on from the beginning. I came here for the comments. This is so scary to live in a world people can hate you for being Afro-American or Israeli or pro-Israeli or asian or arab or christian or muslim or jew or whatever... Who cares? Why can't you be more supportive and allow all of us be free? We are all human beings. We were born to be citizens of the world. Israel and Russia both have really big Muslim minorities.. much, MUCH bigger than the US (Israel: 1.5 million; US: 2.6 million; Russia: 9.4 million). And Poland and Hungary were very happy to let their citizens travel, work and live freely across the whole EU. Their populations are also very pro-EU too, a project which is obviously aimed at integration of European countries (economically, culturally, politically) and loosening border restrictions in the EU.

 

There's no real ethnostate in the world  the only one is North Korea

I'm sorry dear but even if you don't know me or like me, it's okay, because you and the world are really something I care about. Trust me, no bad intentions here, I had to write it because I felt overwhelmed by this trend. It's not you who started it. I can't blame people for being a part of something bigger they don't strive to know more about...

I wrote "towards me" because I knew these comments are about to come... I really wanted to give people a seed of hope so they know maybe things aren't as they thought so maybe they can do their research, definitely did not want to make it all about me.
